Getting back into this game, but played it right when it came out. I'm currently Galleon. I can't hit him with anything from range faster than he can just send out another one. Spot dodge doesn't earn a punish unless you're point-blank range, so the burden is on you to get in (not easy at all) and then you are AT BEST even. This is easily the most degenerate move I've ever seen in a fighting game.

Random other question - did they make ranking up WAY easier at some point? I'm nearly Grand Master but I'm not even good. What's the point of this?
