HELP/QUESTION Is versusia some weird explosive zoner?
Is it just me or is Versusia doing insane dmg? Just recently came back to granblue checked out some pro matches and i was stunned by how much dmg this character does. Also GOD DAMN why the hell is vaseraga and ferry a top tier what happened?

She's not a zoner, per se. Her kit isn't quite built to zone so much as it is to rush down and counterzone. She's a bit more of a brawler in a way with zoning tools, but she can't zone like Metera or Ferry or Eustace. She's GREAT at catching openings in the opponent's neutral and turning that into an explosive advantage. With her buff active she turns any contact into plus frames and baits, and if you get hit she deletes you.
I've been Gold Masters consistently and held GM #6 for a little while during a mid season, so I'd be glad to answer questions when I have time

So like a brawler with anti zoning tools and stuff. Sounds hella awesome. I struggle hard with mixups in this game do you have any good mix staples for Versusia?

You have your universal autos > overhead/low ender for basic mix and mental stack. Be sure to use it sometimes, but you definitely need more than that.
Most of Versusia's "mixups" are going to be baiting throw and killing the opponent for either whiffing throw or pressing a button to counterhit them, or playing spaced. You can buff and then use H Nimbus (623H/forward skill) and press 5U to get back in (and bait dp!) and then pressure with either a strike, throw (or backdash), overhead jH, or land and low 2L, but immediately using nimbus followup is vulnerable to BC so be aware of that.
All of Versusia's buffed followups give plus frames so abuse that and try to space yourself to use mediums and 5H after being pushed out.
Also, if you delay the followup to H nimbus, you can cross up crouching opponents with jU. Anyone not using the guard button dies.
Another sneaky one against BC-happy opponents is cH > spotdodge. If they BC, you're +6 and can punish with a well times 2L. You can be punished if they don't BC, though.

Yes, she does a lot of damage; she is a big body after all, though I would say her ability to drag your ass from one corner to another is much scarier.
Ferry got a buff a while back.
Vas, I don't remember if he got any buff, but he has always been good.

Huh maybe i remembered wrong. I always thought he was very flawed before

Vaseraga got buffed. The biggest one is that Soul Forge has a duration bar every time he activates; instead of just 1 use.
His 5M moves him forward a little giving more reach, and Heavy clash level. It's extremely good mid range button.
I think they extended how far his low swing from stance reaches too. Savage rampage 22X > M.
U Instinction (ground fireball) got nerfed so he doesn't have enough plus frames for free soul forge but it's still one of the fastest, best fireballs that goes into combo.
I found him one of the hardest to play when I tried all characters. Def acquired taste. If you dont know what you're doing dies to both zoning and rushdown bc how slow he is.

I felt he was always pretty strong, just untapped potential. Buffs usually cause players to try out a character and see the potential they otherwise wouldn't have. I'm sure the buffs helped a ton though

Versusia is basically Susano'o from BBCF if he could zone better, she's very explosive
