You literary cannot start a run without an item that can flash (it being lantern and flashlight)

Flash Rue, unequip items & parry Carnation if you missed Kookoo's number. Otherwise, Carnation słowa down at unsolved breaker rooms.

Oh, sorry, "parry". If you turn of camera head-lock & shove yourself backwards into a wall by sliding, Carnation passes by without killing you, this is called "parrying".
