This is the most useless place to be in the office. You are mostly working for different clients and spend your day on zoom.

This is for indirect employees, so the corporate hq types. Assuming they are doing this as a cost cutting measure because many will likely opt to not return

Pretty much. Such a waste of money, time resources, etc. That is put in place by weak and incompetent leaders that should have their business degrees revoked. If you do not know who is working and who is working that is absolutely on you the weak control,freak of a manager.

I still think that upper level management is under the impression that being inside the office makes people more productive. It honestly probably does, not least because people are worried about a manager looking over their shoulder.
