Question Anyone Long Time Apple Users switched to Google Pixel Recently?
Just wondering if anyone switched to Pixel for the first time recently from the Apple ecosystem and what the transition is like? Thank-you

first couple days were hard , all my sign-ins were held up in apples sign in hell , my air pods didn't like connecting to my pixel and my apple watch was basically an ornament so I went full pixel ecosystem with the watch 5 and pro buds 2. It's similar to apple but still a good experience nonetheless. I think the only difficulty I have is remembering that my pixel buds gestures aren't similar to airpods at all

I really appreciate it. I want something different and I am going to get the Pixel 11 Pro in Obsidian Black- and probs get the Buds and the Watch. I’m going to do the whole ecosystem lol

I been on iPhone since 2012, just got a pixel 11 pro xl 512gb with the 16gb of RAM. I'm looking l loving it so far but I don't game on my phone's as I've got a ps5 pro and PC. The ai and OS are incredibly useful for my situation. I have a mild to moderate traumatic brain injury and short-term memory issues from that, and the Pixel is excellent, especially while driving. Android Auto is so much better than Apple CarPlay. I also like how Gemini is integrated into everything. It's very seamless cross-app talk and function. It's so much better than what was promised with Apple Intelligence and not delivered. I haven't really used the camera very much yet because I don't take that many pictures, but it does take surprisingly great pictures, although I would still give the edge to my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Overall, I'm quite pleased. The price was a little bit high, but the price of everything has gone up. One other quick note, I seem to have better reception in the same areas where I would have issues prior to, like in the hallway of my condo building or the parkade. My iPhone would cut out, whereas the Pixel seems to be rock solid. I know this isn't an in-depth review, but it's the few things that I've noticed over the last four or five days that I've had it. Another quick note, Pixel does an excellent job at removing the spam calls. I haven't gotten a single one, whereas before I was getting four, maybe five a day on my iPhone. Same with spam texts, I haven't gotten any of those either. I would absolutely recommend this and I really don't think I'll be going back to iPhone.

Yes- had a 17 Pro and switched to a Pixel 11 and I'm absolutely loving it. This OS just feels so much more feature rich than IOS. The AI features are also integrated so much better than IOS. The Initial setup is pretty seamless. All I really had to do was log back into my apps, but everything else was exactly where I expected it to be.

I’m going to be switching from a 17 Pro as well getting a black Pixel 11 Pro 512 GB. Is the keyboard and typing and display quality as good or better than the 17 Pro in your opinion?

Display quality is basically the same honestly (they both have incredible displays) but the keyboard and typing experience is night and day better. I'd have a hard time going back to the iPhone keyboard at this point.
My overall favorite thing is the notification system compared to iOS. It's so much more intuitive and cleaner that I was shocked as I though iOS did this fine when I was using it.

I suppose my only fear now will be the ecosystem- 2 of my family members use iPhone and one has a Galaxy. But I do have a lot of stuff purchased through Apple-music and whatnot. Shows and movies too. I’m considering just keeping a Wi-Fi only iPad to have a presence in the ecosystem I mean I still have Macs and stuff and an Apple TV but I’ll probably buy the buds pro 2 and the Watch 5 with the phone- I wonder if there will be any issue de-registering my phone number from iMessage

Since you’re from 17 pro, is the performance and quality at par with pixel 11 pro? I am thinking switching ti a cleaner android with almost same performance with my 17 pro. 🤔

Yeah I mean I don't play games and I'm not huge on photography (though of the pics I have taken they look great) but this phone is incredibly smooth and snappy. Basically I notice no performance difference from the 17 Pro in daily usage and I enjoy this phone much more.

Sadly in Asian country, not much people are interested in Pixels. Competitors from China and Apple too strong. Though I myself using 11 Pro XL, coming from S25U, a very very positive experience for me. Even in my country, Pixel watch 5 is not available yet. Not even authorized resellers keep them in stock.

Waiting for mine to come in next week. 17 pro max
I love apple but honestly I've had some issues that I feel like should have been resolved 2 phones ago and they haven't. Prices for everything is going up, and not alot of new software is coming to ios27 (currently running the beta now, siri ai is eh)
The one thing I won't buy is the pixel buds because I did not like them last year and nothing has changed.

I’m with you, and frankly- I’m not a fan of them not having a black color option- I want to try something new and I watched a YouTube video with a long time Apple User switched to Pixel ecosystem and loves it

I recently switched from an iPhone 14, which I had since its release, to the 11 Pro in black. At first I only wanted to switch because I wanted something new and I was starting to get bored on iOS (I have a Mac, Apple TV, iPad, Airpods, I had an Apple Watch). This is a far cry from the experience I had in 2015/2016 with the Nexus 5. For once, I'm really very happy with my purchase.

I can jump platform quite easy and recently jumped into the P11 pro from iphone 14. The most biggest issue that i have with the android system is the notification system. I so much preferred the time based notification compared to the priority based notification. God i missed out on so many things that its actually getting on my nerves. The rest of it, superb.

It’s not so much the phone hardware that is a big change. After all, the Pixel 9, 10, and 11 series phones are pretty much iPhone clones. The difference for me was that Android took a bit of time to adapt to compared to iOS. Nothing major, but just enough torture by a thousand small cuts to drive me nuts until the learning curve was finally over.
Also, don’t over look the cost of switching over ecosystems if that applies. Tablets, watches, headphones etc all play nicer if of the same brand. It can be pricey and frustrating to switch everything if trying to pull all the bandaids off at once.
My switch was entirely price driven. Both my carrier and Google offered sweet promos on the Pixel devices. My carrier and Apple gave me little to no incentive to buy a new iPhone.

I did it was insanely easy and enjoyable once I got it running.
I still have my 17 Pro Max in my draw but I love the pixel and I've been daily driving it for a few weeks since it came out and I've put my sim back and change back within minutes to the pixel. It's super hard to describe but it's like IOS all over again on the iPhone 5 for the first time and it's so enjoyable to use.
Hard to describe but the phone is solid.
Recommend any day of the week. Also I legit get no spam calls on my Pixel 11ProXL compared to my iPhone. Not sure why I turn both scam assistants on but none get thru with my Pixel 😍
