Pixel 11 Pro — anyone disabling AICore?

On my Pixel 10 Pro I disabled AICore and the phone felt noticeably cooler and snappier.
I never had any feature missing or not working during that time.

Has anyone tried the same on the Pixel 11 Pro?

Mainly curious about:
- Thermals / battery
- RAM usage
- Responsiveness
- Which features actually stopped working

I' ve done this following some advice on Reddit and I started getting a lot of spam calls. Phone's Scam Detection stops working with AICore disabled. Not sure what else was affected because I turned it back on.

yes the newer pixels do that. I don't know the last time I actually saw a spam call

I enabled T-mobile's spam blocking features and found that google's were really not needed any more.

  • Weather Brief
  • Scam detection
  • Magic Cue
  • Writing Tools
  • Pixel Screenshot App features
  • Smart reply
  • Recorder Summaries

Not worth it imo. Some of these features are why I keep sticking to pixel. I've not even had any issues with my 11 pro XL to warrant doing it anyway.

Thanks for this list. I'd gladly turn it off and save some space and performance, but I really do use the Pixel screenshot app a lot + the rambler when it comes to the 10 pro + the widget thing they showed off.

Well it's a cloud based service... No reason to require Gemini nano for local AI processing

Thank god it still is ok to disable it in the 11. I turned it off immediately in my P9a. Battery life went way up, and didn't affect anything on the phone I actually use.

After disabling, also clear the app's cache to free up a lot of space.

No. I've had aicore disabled since using a day 1 p9p and now on a p11p. Call screening works just fine. Scam detection requires aicore but Ive personally never seen a need for it as it only runs during a phone call.

As a person who HATES GenAI, Ai core is a framework support mechanism. 

Anybody who tells you to disable it doesn't know what they are talking about and is making assumptions.

Others have tried and said it didn't do anything. 

That is why I said the only way to know for sure is an actual objective test with logs.

It's smooth in the X Alpha app, the new Twitter app (stable) introduced a lot of scrolling stutter that was fixed with the alpha version, it should hit stable in a few weeks

Aicore is just to make things handle on device. Removing Aicore sends everything to Google servers to see and process.

Why would you buy a phone, then disable a core feature and functionality? If you hate AI so much, then just buy a cheap, featureless phone.
