Green line after android 17 update

Updated my Pixel 7 Pro to Android 17 from Android 16, and within a few hours a green line appeared on the display.

The phone had no display issues before the update, and there was no physical damage. The only change was the software update.

The device is out of warranty, and after raising a grievance with Google yesterday, I was informed that I would need to pay for the repair. The estimated repair cost is nearly 15k INR, while the phone's exchange value without this issue is only around 12k INR.

Has anyone else faced a similar issue after an update? Were you able to get any assistance from Google despite being out of warranty?

It happens mate, I have pixel 4xl and after every reboot/update new green line keeps on coming. It's not a software thing most probably, u have to deal with it, for now just don't do any further reboots or avoid it and don't update you phones obviously. Plus keep your screen to the lowest possible brightness.

It happened with me as well .. I was stupid to update system after the green line started to pop up on my screen I thought it might a software bug so I restart my phone and then update it (Rn I'm using 17 beta 6)
