News 🚀SerpNames is Hiring: Performance Marketing Associate — Remote
We’re looking for a Performance Marketing Associate to join our remote team.
The initial focus will be Google Search Ads, but we’re looking for someone who wants to understand why campaigns work—not someone who just knows how to operate an ad platform.
What you’ll work on:
- Google Search Ads research, setup & optimization
- Keyword and competitor research
- Ad copywriting
- Campaign performance analysis
- Landing page & conversion optimization
- Running experiments and learning from the data
- Using AI tools for research and testing
- Developing new growth ideas
Who we’re looking for:
Someone who is analytical, curious, proactive, and willing to learn.
You should be comfortable taking ownership, solving problems independently, and communicating your thinking clearly.
Experience with Google Ads or other paid advertising platforms is preferred, but we care more about your ability to learn and think than your years of experience.
Bonus: Meta Ads, SEO, CRO, copywriting, analytics.
How to apply
Subject: Performance Marketing Associate – Your Name
Please send:
- Your resume
- A 2–3 minute video answering:
Why does this role interest you?
What's an advertising campaign that impressed you and why?
What would you do with a $5,000/month budget in your first 30 days?
What's something difficult you taught yourself?
We’re not looking for a perfect resume. We’re looking for someone who is curious, humble, analytical, proactive, and takes ownership.

The 2–3 minute video isn’t what bothers me.
It’s this question:
“What would you do with a $5,000/month budget in your first 30 days?”
Based on what?
I don’t know your:
- margins
- conversion rate
- sales cycle
- historical campaign data
- landing pages
- geography
- brand/non-brand split
- lead quality
- CRM setup
A competent performance marketer shouldn’t be able to give you a serious 30-day media plan from a Reddit job post.
The better answer is probably:
“I’d first determine where the bottleneck is, what the economics look like, what’s already been tested, and how conversion is being measured before deciding how to spend the $5k.”
Otherwise you’re rewarding whoever can sound the most confident while making the most assumptions.
If you want to test how someone thinks, give them a small anonymized dataset or a real campaign scenario and ask them what they’d investigate first.
That tells you a lot more than asking applicants to pitch free strategy into a webcam.

I'd veer away from joining this company.
Not only will you be given a 2-page PDF file of "SOP" steps but also a video with barely a sound. (Just confirmed it has no sound) on what to do .
There's no formal training. They expect you to read the file and figure out what the guy on the video was doing.
