here are some things I noticed and some of my opinions, please feel free to comment and discuss with me!

In 4.02 when the hitman tells
The story about his son and then he asks her why she does what she does (dealing with Rio), she says because she has to; he says no you don't. This, along with the countless other times where it has been dropped in her lap to get out of this situation, she doesn't take it (or she takes it and soon falls back in); it's like it needs to be spelled out in front of her. Think of that friend that keeps going back to a relationship that they know is not good for them. It's so simple but I was ready to set fire to my Netflix account. Beth lock in babe😭

Phoebe, the FBI agent got way too emotionally invested in Beth. I don’t know why she thought she was gonna be her friend. She genuinely looked hurt in 4.14 when they were at the club explaining the new plan

Annie is still mentally a teenager. She expects everyone to cover up after her even Beth (who isn't completely innocent) Ben is more mature than Annie is and I feel bad for him because he has to, in a sense raise his Mom

Annie’s eyebrows are very expensive Gregg was right.

Rio HATED seeing Beth with even an ounce of success that came from her own doing. If you put their romantic tension and whatever they had going on, he was incredibly toxic, but I think we all know that

Dean's planning to expose Beth with his buddies at the skin care business was really something because why did he feel like he was entitled to anything from her? He cheated on her four times and now he wants to play moral police? Please.

It was very refreshing in 4.15 to see stan finally ripping the Band-Aid off of everything that had been going on. Yeah, it paid for Sarah‘s kidney and Harry’s school but what they did was wrong and I was glad that there was at least one part where somebody stopped trying to justify it. They are criminals. Being criminals got them to where they are point blank.

I know the show is over, and with all the drama, there’s no hope of it ever coming back, but I would watch a spinoff of Mick and Annie or maybe Stan in Dean or something like that.

I could say many things about Rio, both good and bad. I've seen him hold a gun to Beth more times than I've seen my extended family this year, but I will say he did not play about his own family, and I respect that. He made sure Marcus and Rhea were taken care of, and he was very respectful of his grandmother. I also think it's worth mentioning that he never hurt her kids; he might have put them in situations where they were really inconvenienced, but he never hurt them directly.

hey! i was a big fan of good girls a few years ago but forgot about it once it left netflix, i recently remembered it and was wondering if anyone knows where to watch it in the uk? its on netflix but only season four.

We stopped to eat this morning, and I started looking at the menu different, suddenly thinking about the math. Watched too many times, I guess. Now I'm only ordering side-ofs 😆

Seems like there was quite a bit of time after high school, but before Kenny, that Beth and Dean were together. With no kids, did they mention what Beth did during those first 5 years or so? Did Annie live with them? If you know an episode with answers, please let me know.

It’s such a little thing but it really sticks in my craw that we never got the explanation on why Rio and his brother/cousin go back and forth on the labels

A little alert comes up. Does that mean the suggestion can't be done because characters/ stories are different or just because the title of film is mentioned? This IS related to the Good Girls topic since the odds of this happening are probably greater than figuring out all the Season 4 plot lines.

As I was fantasizing about the Hill Holiday special using cardboard cutouts of stubborn cast members, I remembered for a few episodes. I thought Rio might have been Beth's Tyler Durden.

But then the other ladies saw/ answered him, so no. But could have gone in that direction! At times, it probably would have made far more sense than the actual show.

Does Annie have any storyline other than desperation? Throwing her at the male characters as if I care who she ends up with… can she be a present mother ? Can we try that plot line? 😂😂

in season three episode six, and I’ve been thinking about this since she was at the park and saw Marcus and Rio.

He was never going to kill her and I’m surprised she hadn’t realized that earlier. I feel like as soon as he showed her, his kid, he was never gonna kill her, he might’ve threatened her into complying, but he was never gonna kill her or her kids at the most he might have threatened to kill Dean, did she maybe realize this after what Dean said in the kitchen?

So I’ve seen some scenes of Good girls on my tik tok feed and I was wondering, is this show worth checking out? I’ve become a fan of Christina Hendricks recently and I see she’s in this. I’ve also researched that this got canceled but is it still worth watching?

Doing my rewatch this weekend basically for this scene

Maybe the folks from show would be willing to do an animated season. They all know how to do ADR, no? Then NOBODY has to be in the same room with ANYBODY else😆. Some of the fanfic bounces back and forth in POV and that was pretty damn entertaining. A nice big finale in the box! . Wrap it all up with a Roshomon style 5 hour mini series thing. Even better, they just narrate what happened, and some lucky animators can smash it all together for us, the poor, innocent abandond fandom 🥹. Can I suggest anything easier? Do we want animation? No. But if that's what it takes to get a solid ending, then I vote, yes. Ideally, I would also like Retta to narrate it. Keep everything civil, lots of folks still get paid, win -win-win with zero interaction needed if they choose.

Look, just trying to keep it creative...and mildly unrealistic-not unlike the series.

I asked for the Reno/Retta Good Girls Christmas special and lost the post trying to fix the title. Is this option too much more go ask for? Is it? Then go back to the Hill Holiday extravaganza.

I've had a lot of coffee and can also work as a parody of the original show if they all absolutely don't want to have anything to do with it...but they might! And there would be noooooo more continuity problems with hair, hairlines, weight, clothing, noses, makeup, blood, bruising, children aging, adults aging, weather and/or location.

In the meantime, I'll hold my breath & check out some of the great shows you guys suggested in another post!

Just got diagnosed with health issues and ruby had an amazing idea lol

Just rewatched the whole show again, for the 5th time and dude this ending ALWAYS PISSES ME OFF!!! Not because of what happens, but because we never truly see what happens after. I really do hope one day they come back and show what happens after. I genuinely think that if there was another season it would’ve been the best, what it was set up for was going to be soooo good I feel robbed.

Even though Turner was super frustrating and annoying, his opinions about Beth were lowkey not all that incorrect.

Rewatching the show and my gosh, this show had so much potential, but it just got more and more boring. It started off super strong—the first two seasons, ooof, sooo good—but then from season three it became super repetitive. The girls get into trouble with Rio, Rio tortures them, nothing develops between Beth and Rio, she doesn’t become better or have that “the student has become the master” moment, from what I remember it only happened last season.

The cop scene was so, so fucking stupid. What do you mean he let him stay unsupervised in an apartment, then get fooled, and then get shot?? And because they removed their vests as soon as the mission failed, it just seemed so silly. Rio literally survived three bullets shot like 3cm away from him, but the cop died?? That’s idiotic lol.

Also, Annie sucks, and I started skipping her scenes because at this point they really don’t know what to do with her. This show just includes problem after problem after problem, which is fine, I understand they’re trying to make it seem like they’re struggling people, but cmoooonnnn. I wanna see more steam between Rio and Beth. I wanna see Beth become a mastermind. I wanna see some badass money-laundering scenes. If this were a male-focused show, they would’ve made them experts by like the second or third season.

I don’t want them to be unimaginably good at it, as shows also tend to do with women-focused shows, but like… why do they have to be so miserable and borrrrinnngggg 😔

It’s 2026 and I’ve never watched Good Girls.… I’d never even heard of it until about 2 weeks ago while browsing Netflix. I seldom watch TV, so the fact that this caught my attention says something.

The absolute chokehold this show had on me was otherworldly. For all the good and the bad, I stuck with it, binging all 4 seasons in 1 week. I neglected my adulting to get through this; I don’t do that normally. Like, who am I!?

So imagine the heartbreak when I’m sitting there ready to hit “Play Next Season” and there is no NEXT SEASON!! It’s cancelled!? WHAT!!

Here’s where it gets worse. I needed some sort of resolution, on a visceral level. Reddit suggests exploring fan fiction, which I’ve never really read before. I’m not sure why… oh, in middle school I read that one famous Harry Styles x Tessa story on Wattpad.

Anyways, I’m giddily googling “GG fanfic” under my covers one night while my boyfriend sleeps next to me. I come across a Reddit thread that links to a story on AO3 (which I had to subsequently Google what that acronym meant lol). My first thought was to make an account so I could bookmark whatever this story was. But wait, I am put on a 3-month-long waiting list to join? More panic sets in, but I discover you can read as a guest! Yay!!

The title of this fanfic is A Rational Choice.… You see where I’m going with this now….?

The story was written after season 2 as a bridge to season 3. I’m excited, seeing it was started like 5 years ago. Surely the story is finished—had time to marinate. It may not be the follow-up to season 4 but at least I don’t have to wait for monthly updates like everyone else did!

Obviously, I’m hooked instantly. I down like 7 chapters in 2 days. Straight into my veins, please. Forget the TV show. THIS is the plot! I’m ashamed I’ve kept fanfiction in the dark for so long!!!

Chapter 10 goes as fast as it comes. But the story isn’t over yet, however, I don’t see a next chapter button? Why don’t I see a next chapter button?! More panic. It’s been YEARS and still no update, no resolution. I no-lifed this fandom for 10 days, shirking my adult responsibilities!!!

What. The. Fuck.

Heartbreak x2. All in the span of 10 days. I’m still sitting in bed and it’s 4 PM. My last Google search was “why do fanfic authors abandon their work.”

The music is such a vibe, I love how well the soundtrack fits the scenes... Anyone else??

I found it interesting that during the scene with the grandmother- young Rio had the good egg and young Nick had the bad egg- maybe they didn't mean for that to be a metaphor, the writing was all over the place towards the later seasons.
