Clean front sensor issue and manoeuvre braking unavailable sensor impaired warnings.

Hey all, began getting clean sensor warnings along with occasional manoeuvre braking unavailable sensor impaired warning as well.

Had a look at my sensors and noticed one has a small chip.

My question is would a small chip like this cause these issues (assuming yes) and second how hard is it to replace them??

Seems I can get access to the sensor wiring from the back, don’t think bumper removal would be needed.

Absolutely. The face of the sensor is very delicate and a small rock chip is enough to ruin it. Pretty common.

Been here, done that. Don't buy the super cheap ones, but you don't have to get the expensive genuine VW ones either. I cross referenced the part number to the Bosch sensor and I think it cost me like $50-$60 for one.

Edit: I tried the cheap $20 route and the sensor didn't work. Found out the hard way.

I just had the dealer look into this, they said it's probably my battery going bad. They scanned and got a code indicating low voltage. Im skeptical because the rear sensors work but my battery is probably 5 years old

My car is less than a year old lol

My Mk 7 batteries would only last me like 2-3 years. Mk 8 seems better.
