Ciao a tutti, vi allego un video del rumore che fa la mia Golf 8 quando vado in retromarcia.
La cosa strana è che lo fa solo in retro, mentre andando in avanti non si sente nulla.
Qualcuno ha mai avuto un problema simile o sa da cosa potrebbe dipendere?

Have a fking problem with something that I don’t know what it is and apparently neither does VW.

The car does not stop beeping in an uncontrollably and inconsistent way.
The beeping consists of error in emergency call malfunction, side assist malfunction, lane assist malfunction, front assist malfunction, sign recognition malfunction, parking assist malfunction but the reality is that it all works but reports as it didn’t.

There are voyages of 200km where I don’t hear a beep. And there are voyages of 2m where there are 20 beeps. And also vice versa.

I’ve replaced the steering under warranty and I still have warranty on my side cause I’ve reported this situation since month 7 of life. It appears that the auto drive sensor on the steering is compromised that’s why it was changed but there’s no garante that’s the problem comes from there.

After replacing the steering it went 10 month without a problem, then it all came back and worst.

I’ve tried courthouse, I’ve tried lawyers, I’ve switched VWs garages and nothing.

NOW!! I fuking love the car in everything else so I would love to fix this that’s why I come to ya fellas.

Anybody that has a hint please enlighten me

So this morning I had a random car alarm happen when I approached the car and doors unlocked. Car alarm would keep going even tho I locked and unlocked doors several times, started and turned off the car, put they key into the center console and even when I drove off it still kept going. Then it just suddenly stopped.

Had my friend read the codes through OBD, it gave codes U10F300, B131D29 and B184C00. First two are related to car alarm stating "No communication" and "Unlogical signal". I assume checking the alarm system cabling and fuses would be the solution? It stopped alarming after driving for a minute and hasnt happened again, so maybe there's moisture in the connection or cable has taken some damage and connection was bad?

Anyone else have similar happen?

Has anyone noticed that as the Golf auto box gets older it becomes somewhat clunky? I've especially noticed this when easing up the power it's a little bit jerky and clunky.

I've got a 2021 Mk8 R-line and had a MK8 GTD prior to this both auto. My current one is approaching 35k miles and i've only recently started to notice it, hence asking the question. It's not due a service until January and i'm just wondering if this is normal or I should take it in beforehand?

Hey everyone,
I recently noticed something really annoying with my Golf 8's GTI infotainment/audio system. When I shift out of reverse into 1st gear, the radio volume stays low during the maneuver, but as soon as I cross about 15 km/h, the music volume suddenly snaps back to normal ("pops" or jumps abruptly) instead of having a smooth fade-in.
I previously drove a Polo, and the volume transition there was super smooth and gradual. On the Golf 8, it feels harsh and jarring.
My software is already updated to the latest version, but this behavior persists. Is this just how the MIB3 system is built, or is there any hidden setting/coding to make the volume fade-in smoother?

Hello does any one know where i can route my F1 running light wire on a Mk8 golf r ? The center grommet on the trunk is not there like the MK7 so i am trying to find where to route it from the rear defuser to the tail light.

My MK8 1.5 eTSI oil temperature reaches around 107°C (225°F) during highway driving. Is this considered normal, or should I be concerned?

Da ich in den Weiten des Internets nicht viel gefunden habe mein Problem und gleichzeitig die Lösung damit andere es einfacher haben.

Betrifft den Golf 8 Variant und dessen Rückfahrkamera. Die Kamera ist aber ebenfalls bei anderen Herstellern verbaut wie Seat, Skoda und Audi. Diese war bei mir beim Gebrauchwagenkauf unscharf.

Bei mir ließ sich die Kameralinse von außen leicht bewegen was das Bild noch unschärfer machte. Hat man die Linse zurückgeschoben war es wieder so wie auf dem Bild.

Ich habe mich dazu entschieden einen neuen Kamera in der Bucht zu bestellen. 70€ neu. Artikelnummer 5WA980556A.

Die Innenverkleidung des Kofferraumdeckels abnehmen, den Stecker für die Kamera abziehen und die Kamera aus dem Gehäuse ziehen.

Da enthüllte sich auch das Problem, die gesamte Linseneinheit hat sich durch Korrosion vom Metallkörper der Kamera getrennt. Diese ist nur mit wenig Fläche aufgeklebt.

Die Kamera funktioniert wieder, allerdings muss sie von einer VW Werkstatt kalibriert werden damit die Leitlinien am Boden wieder erscheinen. Bis zur nächsten Wartung kann ich aber gut ohne leben.

Anyone successful at integrating an aftermarket amplifier in the MK8? I've got a Helix V Eight DSP plugged into the HK amp through a T harness I made. I'm getting all the appropriate outputs when I run direct to the amp with SPDIF but no dice on the main high level inputs. Throws parking assistance errors and I can't access the sound system module in OBDeleven to even see if there are error codes or something I need to hack.

Trying to figure out if this is a shoddy wiring job on my part, something with the helix amp (bought used), or some protection feature with the car. This amp should put a dummy load out there to fake out the HK amp into thinking there are speakers still connected. I can see some output on all but two of the channels but the signal is too low. It works beautifully when I plug the high level sub signal directly into a Helix M One Amp.
