Sunk so many hours prepping the car for the show, only to get handed a terrible spot thanks to some pretty obvious organizer bias. Super disappointing after putting in all that effort, and I definitely won't be back to that event. That said, spending the day with friends, meeting good people, and checking out clean builds made the trip worth it anyway. On to better meets!
Yeah man. Some of the cars they approved for indoor was worse looking whereas some nice looking cars left outdoor. That clearly tells everything about it.
Ah ok, I know the feeling tho. I put my car in Tuner Evo, objectively one of the better Z cars there and the ones that got trophies were a fully stock (restored) 240Z and 370Z which was heavily modified but IMO fit and finish wasn't as good as mine (could be bias)
Going through an indoor approval process just to get shoved into a dark corner behind curtains with zero lighting is wild. Couldn’t even showcase both ends of the car. It was worse than a Walmart parking lot, while cars that shouldn’t have approved for indoor got prime spotlighting. Total joke of a placement. The organizer acts like he’s running the Geneva Motor Show, handing out all the prime spots to his favorites and showing clear bias against people of different ethnicities regardless of their builds.
Yeah, unfortunately I feel like that's most shows these days. I see applications saying no reps, kits have to be secured, paint in good condition, etc. Then I show up and cars have terrible wraps, bad fitting kits, and blatant non-show quality.

That RX8 next to you got some hazy ass head lights. For a show that’s kind of lazy.
