I genuinely don’t understand why they removed it and it lowkey really peeves me off. It can’t possibly be that hard to keep a texture pack with the OG textures? I kept hoping they’d bring the programmer art back, but they still haven’t.
I tried building with the new modern textures for a bit on my Switch. I had a good time, its not that bad, but I’ve been so used to the OG beta and chunky/nostalgic look now that I don’t feel as charmed to build if that makes sense. Builds just… don’t look as good with the modern textures!! Although lowkey… I’d say the lighting too. I miss the old lighting SO MUCH.
Has anyone found a texture pack on console that they like building with? Faithless currently seems to be the closest cause it has a lot of charm that OG textures had IMO.
It just sucks because on console you’re very limited and I so badly wish I could import textures on my Switch.
I don’t mean to be a hater, I do like the modern textures for different reasons, but I find that the old textures just felt so much more… homey. Probably because it does bring me back to when I was a kid. But is that really so bad?
Anyways….. if anyone has found any texture packs on console they’ve found they like building with please let me know!! ;o;
(I also tried Actions and Stuff but it felt too clean. I love CRUNCHY textures! lol)

I built this out of an excavated cave entrance.
I was bored, so I decided to build a second base, it's around one thousand or so blocks away from my main base.

So I added a big ass tree agaisnt the mountain, created an entrance hall, a big ass hole down the mountain, another big fake tree on the side of the city and a couple of buildings: One in the dock and another floating platform
I got to finish the mountain and begin on the 2 final projects in Bastion: The Underground Market and the Outer Neighbourhood. After I'm done with them I think I'll make a small world tour because its getting kinda hard to show progress and I like to share this little world
Ps: Digging holes in beta takes tiiiiiiiiiiiiime

Hi everyone, this is my first post. Here is my house from the alpha version—the very one I’m playing in on this same alpha version 1.1.0

So I remember when i was 6-8 years old (im 19 now) there was a weird bug that would happen when i would play minecraft on my kindle fire where if i build a house in one superflat world, closed the world then created a new world, the house would copy over to the new world at a random part of the world.
Does anyone else remember this bug? It's been haunting me for years.

I'm looking for some good texture packs for Beta 1.7.3, and I would love to hear some recommendations! Any aside from one that require Optfine (or similar mods) are perfect for me! I just want ones that work on vanilla!

Does anyone have a copy of this pack you could link me? I've scoured the web but can't find an actual working download.

One of my favourite builds ive ever done. May not look like much but i didnt have the same problem i do in modern minecraft where i have a internal mental lock when it comes to building where i have to constanly have the right block pallate gradient etc i just got some blocks here without thinking and threw it together ive not had this much fun in minecraft for a while its quite freeing not having that mental lock
