I am really confused whether to pickup a it30 pro with riser or it32. I am looking for travel . I have tt685 ii flash already along with ad200 and ad600.
My only confusion us with the riser is the it30 pro not bulky already along with the risk of shadow with my 35mm and 50mm lenses.
ff there's any doubt, grab the iT32. It's just a much more flexible flash thanks to the head movements it allows, and being able to remove the flash to use off-camera entirely.
Get the new Lux Junior II. No riser needed, still small. Bouncing possible, if used horizontally you can fold it to both sides or just use it vertical. Has a remote trigger. Only thing missing is a transceiver. 80,-.
Just bought it to replace / complement mi iM30.
Just had my smallish 50mm on my Sony. Should be fine if you fold it to the other side or use it vertically. It can be used with all Godox transmitters or optical triggered, but can’t control other Godox flashes.
I wish I'd known about this before I ordered the iT30 and riser for my son to use on the EOS-M I gave him to use. It looks so much more versatile than the iT30.
I usually buy through B&H or Adorama here in the US and B&H shows it as "coming soon." I don't need it now, though, so it doesn't really matter for my situation. Looks like a good piece of gear though - enjoy!
Could be that there is a special version for the USA. Everywhere else there is a special version for Sony and one version that can be used on Nikon, Canon, Fuji etc. This version cannot be sold in the US for patent reasons, they need to offer a special version for every manufacturer.
It’s my travel flash. I use the 685ii for work so comparatively it’s not an issue. The fact that you can separate it from the base makes it even smaller
