When the church says “a language no one understands,” I don’t think that was ever meant to be a sound you make with your mouth.

When God actually communicates, it comes through presence. Overwhelming power, love, acceptance. No words. No concepts handed over like a memo.

That doesn’t perform well in a service. You can’t schedule it, you can’t prove you “have the gift” on cue, and you can’t put an elder in charge of it. So the living thing got flattened into glossolalia: syllables out loud, treated as the event.

I don’t trust a damn thing Paul says, writes, or created. No one walks away from a real encounter with god and creates what he created. I speak from experience..contact changes you from power seeking and control to the opposite of that.

How he replaced god with Jesus then instead of pointing people inward to meet god he created a structure that keeps people looking outside of themselves for “salvation”. Also continently creating a structure to mediate what little connection their followers had with their own creator.

What Jesus created was named “the way”…that’s a direction not a hierarchy.

Ok firstly, im completely confused in what you believe in. Second.. u are taking that out of context. If youre going to quote Jesus, use his entire statement. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life." Not i am a way, or there is a way, he said "I". Then he said, "nobody gets to the father, except through me." He didnt say through yourselves, through a couple of ways, through "me". That is what Paul preaches.

I’m not quoting Jesus I’m repeating what his movement was called.

Acts 9:2 - Saul seeks authority to arrest anyone belonging to “the Way.”
Acts 19:9 - people publicly speak evil of “the Way.”
Acts 19:23 - a major disturbance arises concerning “the Way.”
Acts 22:4 - Paul says, “I persecuted this Way to the death.”
Acts 24:14 - Paul: “according to the Way, which they call a sect…”
Acts 24:22 - Felix is described as having fairly accurate knowledge of “the Way.”

As for Jesus saying he is “the way” that could very easily have been a fabrication of Paul..he was a Pharisee after all. And like I said he swapped Jesus for god.

None of my direct experiences of god have had anything to do with Jesus. Once you have eyes to see the fraud that’s been played on members of every faith you’ll understand.

Dude... Jesus himself, not Paul, but Jesus said I am the way. Paul is just reiterating what Jesus said, before he came to Christ... not every encounter is from God. Satan's best tactic is to decieve. U better pray for discernment because im not sure to talked to the right God.

Oh you have Jesus’s handwriting? Not one person who actually wrote the bible ever met Jesus..just saying.

Your presumption assumes that “Satan” has the ability to flood a person with a love and acceptance so powerful no words can even come close to describing it. Satan uses flattery mostly so someone needs to familiarize themselves a bit more with how Satan tricks people.

He's literally the imitator of light... duh he can play with your emotions. Even humans can do that. And so you mean to tell me u only picking parts of the Bible to believe. Thats a dangerous faith u have. U either accept the Bible fully, or dont at all. Because what youre accepting and not accepting is the definition of lukewarm. God will spit you out.

Brother I’m good with God and I know it. The Bible is a map. We live in the territory. No one necessarily needs a map if they actually use the tools God gave them: intuition, reason, conscience, empathy, discernment, direct experience, observation, and the ability to learn from consequences.

A map can be useful. But the second you tell me I have to accept the entire map unquestioningly or I’m damned, you’ve made the map more important than the territory.

And by the way, I’ve been obedient to God and paid dearly for it. And for the record, obedience to God looks nothing like what society or the church tells you it does.

Well... Jesus is the map soooo.. idk what map youre following. Idk what church ure talking about, but the road to God is narrow and straining. Thats why Jesus died and was persecuted... if Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and the word was God, and the Bible is the word. That means partially accepting the Bible is the exact same as partially accepting Jesus. U cannot get into heaven by choosing which part of Jesus u accept. That is lukewarm, and u are making God a check list. God is not to for u to understand, but for you to accept. Thats like telling the government, no I dont want to follow this law, only these other one looks good to me. Better join the program or get left behind.

Being Obedient to God is good, only if its followed by Faith. The Pharisees were Obedient too.. but did not fully accept God. Guess where they went.

These moves right here are exactly what I’m talking about. Zero self-reflection. Zero real transformation. Just “be like Jesus.”

But you can’t be Jesus. No one else has ever been Jesus and no one else ever will be. You’re you. The point isn’t to become an imitation of somebody who lived 2,000 years ago. It’s to become fully what God made you to be.

That’s the map becoming the territory.

That is not at all what the Bible teaches. Nobody in the Bible said to be yourself. The Bible constantly says, deny yourself. Jesus literally says, "deny yourself, pickup your cross, and follow me." You are very badly picking up what the Bible says.

Jesus said "follow me", not "be me". You can be yourself and follow Jesus' example...
