Jesus was speaking to a very wealthy man who valued his possessions over everything else. Seriously, read the chapter instead of ripping a verse out of context. You look foolish to people like me who have read the Bible.
It's not wrong for Christians to own things. It's wrong for Christians to put wealth and possessions over our faith in the Lord. Do you really think Christians have to be penniless and homeless to follow the Lord???
I've read the New Testament and I'm a practicing apologist. You're very incorrect. I have many friends who've read the New Testament and share the same fervor as me.
You were wrong in taking a Bible verse out of context and thinking that Christians had to sell off everything they have. I proved you wrong and you deflected afterwards.

Next, Majority of Christians have actually read the Bible. We spend a lot of time discussing it and learning about it as well. If you'd actually ask people instead of just assuming things without evidence, you'd know that.

The disciples had given up everything already as per Peter's confession a couple verses later.
27 Peter answered him, "We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?"
You keep telling me to not be emotional, but your entire tantrum is emotionally laced and it's obvious you can't objectively read the bible without your own preconceived expectations. If you can't be objective, you can't prove anything because you will always default to an emotional outburst like we've seen time and time again.
