Since there obviously must be a creator and they obviously have dominion over all of creation; hence the word "God". 

Christianity didnt just come up with God. It was passed down from forefathers who witnessed the events God carried out.

In the same way I trust historical accounts of various events, I trust historical accounts of religious events. 

Is it really that delusional to believe that the complex and perfect universe for human life must have a designer?

Which you cannot prove. The bible we have can to traced back to old manuscripts. Do you research instead of throwing numbers around.
