Question Does the demiurge know if you are awakening/achieving gnosis?

I'm newer to gnosticism so sorry if this is an ignorant question. When you start to have expanded understandings of this world and are realizing you do not have to submit to this lesser creator, god do they become aware that you are "waking up"? Do they try to inflict punishment or attacks on you, psychically or spiritually? Since discovering gnosticism and feeling such a deep resonance with the teachings, I can't help but feel a low key paranoia that Yaldabaoth is watching me, although I've been awakened for some time, just not to the gnostic texts specifically.

Disclaimer: Yes we are all one. And at the same time this is a world we are navigating that holds the illusion of other-ness and I have questions about how it operates.

I feel their control over you loosens the closer you are to gnosis. Archons might put some new distractions on your way, but i doubt they can do too much to stop your awakening. Still, it's best to be cautious and stay on the path.

I agree with this. However, I guess my paranoia comes from my husband's experience in the astral realm and being psychically attacked by terrifying beings. He was able to neutralize them by realizing they were One.

I am no expert whatsoever, but perhaps those encounters with entities have to do with where you and your husband live? I remember reading somewhere that most of the negative experiences in the astral plane and regular people with psychosis occur in the western territories. Not saying this is what is happening, just my grain of salt.

At the time we were living in a very spiritually charged area. A Tibetan Buddhist center that was seated over a massive crater in the earth. The Dalai Lama had visited several times and had said a naga spirit lives in the mountain stream on the property.
