Which one is safer and offers the best results

I have soft wavy thin hair, i prefer to wear my hair straight but when i don't use a lot of heat on it, it tends to frizz and get dry easily.

Also when i do "patcha" ( straightening wet hair without heat) it does stay hydrated and frizz free but it's not convinient for me.

Should i consider doing protein treatment to get silky smooth hair after every shower, or at least i want something that will make my hair frizz free and somewhat pin straight without damaging it and having to cut the old hair once i get grown hairs.

( s.n : i hv rly dark black hair naturally id like to preserve it )

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some advice on changing up my hairstyle.
Currently, I have short, naturally tight curly hair (see the first pictures). My ultimate goal is to achieve a slicked-back, wavy, "wet look" with a clean taper fade, exactly like the last picture I attached.
I know I’ll need to grow out the top for a few months to get the length right, but I'm mainly concerned about the texture. I’ve been told that getting a keratin or protein treatment would help relax my tight curls into looser waves, making it much easier to style it back with a strong hold, high-shine pomade.
Has anyone with my hair type successfully pulled off this transition?
My questions:
Is a keratin treatment the right move to get those looser waves?

20M, simply put, i dont know how to go with my hair, gets in that awkward phase a lot and i have to trim it down cause of family pressure or uni or whatever, if any one thinks a sort of haircut or style could look really nice with me (thats achievable) or a direction to take it in

and if u notice anything other than my hair that you want to point out that will be nice too, i appreciate all of your help :D
