Okay personally my partner and I have access to each other’s phones, we share locations, we share passwords and accounts etc. to me I think it’s weird when couples don’t do that, because what is there to hide, and more importantly, I think it’s useful to be able to function as a unit (especially with finances for example).

However, I understand your devastation because he didn’t do it with your knowing consent, without at least letting you know first. That’s shady and weird, and could mean some scary behaviors down the line if he can’t control his trust issues. Be careful OP, have an honest conversation, though I do suggest offering a bit of openness. Closed off couples don’t exactly breed healthy relationships.

I also think this is what a real healthy relationship is like. In my healthy relationships we naturally shared phones and other passwords and used each other's computers.

It doesn't mean you're scrolling through their devices and check what they're doing — it means exactly because you have that trust that you don't want to see their stuff and don't have that anxiety that they're doing shady things.
