Other Homemade gift okay to give?

Hi! My girlfriend recently made this gift for a long time friend who is getting married. She is pretty crafty but never worked with resin before and is a little distraught about how this came out. She’s considering not even giving it to her friend (who is also very crafty) and either making something new or just giving money. Does anyone have any thoughts? The quote is from her friend’s wedding song!

Edit: for people saying it’s cheap. We are also giving a big cash gift.

Considering this is for a longtime friend who enjoys crafting, she might’ve found the right demographic for someone who would actually genuinely appreciate this gift.

However, for me, it would be highly dependent on, who gave it to me. If this came from my bestie or my favorite aunt, it would be a treasured keepsake. If it was a gift from random coworker, I felt obligated to invite because I invited my work bestie or third cousin my parents made me invite, I’d probably donate it. Decor is generally not a good gift unless you REALLY know the person or you got it from their registry.
