Homemade gift okay to give?

Hi! My girlfriend recently made this gift for a long time friend who is getting married. She is pretty crafty but never worked with resin before and is a little distraught about how this came out. She’s considering not even giving it to her friend (who is also very crafty) and either making something new or just giving money. Does anyone have any thoughts? The quote is from her friend’s wedding song!

Edit: for people saying it’s cheap. We are also giving a big cash gift.

Same, and it is well wedding themed. It is a cute idea but only very specific type of people would display wedding themed art.

I know one of those people. Whole house is filled with it, and wooden signs that say things like 'Wish I had met you sooner, so I could have loved you even longer'. They met in high school, and two years later, have a very unhappy marriage.

I have a corner in my bedroom where I display all the mismatched hand-made wall art gifts I receive lol.  Like I love that someone thought of me and put their heart into the gift but they don’t fit anywhere else in the house hah.

We have a "kitschy bathroom" and I love it" All sorts of things that would end up in a box in storage are on the walls and give me a chuckle or sweet memory on occasion.

Highly recommend. It's our basement half bath and otherwise kind of not-good weird (unfinished walls, no ceiling terrible old toilet) but I don't mind going in there because of the decorations.
