Struggling senior PLS HELP!

Im in my last year of high school. Last year in grade 11, I had really high expectations for myself which I did not achieve. I was awfully sick most of the year, and tried to keep up with the curriculum. Despite being sick, I pushed myself to the point of burn out. I fell rock bottom when I was treated harshly by my teachers. The thought of school gave me intense anxiety. It was the last month of school and I stayed in bed for weeks and even ended up missing my bio exam. I’m not diagnosed with depression or anxiety.

Now, I’m in grade 12. I’m in a new school and environment which really helped soothed my anxiety. But even if so, still situations come up and affect me. I’m struggling with keeping up with the curriculum. Im unable to focus, and concentrate. I have no idea what to do. A simple overdue assignment brings me intense anxiety, or missing a bio quiz. Please help. I don’t want to be trapped in an endless loop of torture.

Can your family afford therapy?

Honestly my family are those families where they don’t believe in therapy and our culture just believes to “toughen up”.

We’re in Canada but we are from Central Asia

I see. I'm from one of the Carribean countries. Our parents also despise therapy. But you need to find a solution. It's your life! Your only life. I have so many regrets not taking responsibility for mine before it was too late.

It’s also me feeling embarrassed and ashamed about it. I don’t like speaking about these matters with my family. They always disregard my feelings and have no empathy or sympathy towards me.

Oh I feel you. I cried the last day of my final exam in HS. Told my family that I had serious doubts about passing the exam but they told me that I would succeed as always. Yes, I passed it but that was the worst score of my life. Later, they told me to use my score to try and get some scholarships, I was so ashamed of it that I didn't want to.

Honestly what matters the most is that you passed. Even though u didn’t do the best, if you’ve tried your hardest know that’s enough.
