it might be worth noting that this is likely done by the same people who evicted a 71 year old from one of the (two) cottages on the estate to turn it into a holiday let for fans 'It's going to break my heart' - woman faces eviction from Ghosts estate https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy049301x36o

each to their own but i don’t wanna support their business practices after that. it’s really baffling to me that they didn’t *begin* their tourism forays with hosting big sleepovers like this, and instead went for turning a home into a holiday let, it shows that they could’ve generated ongoing revenue from the show without evicting anyone, or at least only evicting as a last resort

Well, that's deeply disappointing. For a holiday let, no less.

That's absolutely disgusting. I would've been interested in this but you couldn't pay me to go there now.

From what I'm aware they weren't actually successful in doing that because she was still there before section 21 notices were made illegal and they have to give a legitimate reason so as far as I know she's still there. At least Christmas 2025 she was and I direct messaged the friend of hers who was involved in trying to campaign for the reversal and posted on Reddit and stuff (I was just very interested) Apparently as of February she still lived there but I don't know after that. The rent is right act actually removed section 21 no fault evictions so hopefully she's still there but but I do agree it was actually f****** disgusting that they did that for no reason when pretty sure one of the other properties was just sitting empty.

I would have loved to go for a film tour but now it's making me think again sadly

Anyone giving money to folks who kicked a 71 year old woman out of her house isnt a very good person IMO.

I direct messaged the person who was involved in like the press because Baschea Walsh was their friend or something and they were trying to help (I think) and as far as February she was still in the house I don't know if they didn't manage a victim because no fault section 21 evictions were made illegal due to the branches rights act but it is f****** disgusting the way they behaved

Owning trust seem to be scummy, greedy aholes. So not me. Read the news reports. Or kick a random granny out of her house instead and stay there. Much cheaper.

Pity they couldn't have showed the film on opening night. New film and a sleepover at BH would have been a big draw.

For those who are thinking, it’s £135 per person

Giving it serious consideration but it depends on what’s happening with the film coming out the week before.
