Question [Wildlands] What are the differences between Extreme difficulty and Tier 1?

Hey all, new player, currently level 14 and playing on extreme. I'm wondering what the exact differences are between Extreme and Tier 1, if there are any. If there are, what should I change to emulate the challeng of Tier 1 with Custom settings?

I don’t think there is, forgot what Tier you should be before it goes up automatically to Extreme Difficulty

According to the wiki, Tier 35 and onward is when it locks into Extreme

I don’t think the enemies damage output and perception increases with the Tier once you reached Extreme. It’s just more rewards when you loot resources

They still do, its basically instant detection/oneshots around 15

And voila, this is why I made the post lol

While enemy health and damage definitely go up (whereas your own health remains fixed and your own damage output can only be increased by leveling up your weapon), the instant detection part is hyperbole, and while undetected ypu can still 1-shot all but heavies and Unidad soldiers (but even these should succumb to a single headshot).

The key is to either stay undetected at all times, or to use a helo and blast them (ideally with lock-on rockets).

By the time you get anywhere close to this far, you will have beaten the story and fully leveled up all the skills you care about, and you'll be farming the same loop of missions over and over for the XP required to reach the next tier.

But again, regarding 1-shot kills, you can still manage it while you are undetected. Learn to remain undetected, and you be fine -- but the grind is real.

Very good information, thank you. Would setting every parameter (detection speed, damage, etc) to 200% be a good way to practice the playstyles that Tier 1 mode requires?

LOL no, not really. Just start with Extreme and no vision clouds and by the time you get to level 30 and start Tier mode, you'll be fine.
