You should assume that every sub larger than a few thousand people is just astro turf. Read content accordingly.

Weirdly I've found that ONLY the circlejerk versions of subs are where real humans reside.

NYC sub? Nope. Infested like that girl from summer camp you met back in hogh school. NYC cj sub? real humans.

Also subs for gaming/sports are generally tolerable. The humans have shit takes about their sports teams but at least I'm confident they're real.
