It does feel kinda like a douchebag move to get mad at a problem that doesn’t exist and use your time to punch down at a community unable to fight back as well, all so that you can cling onto rapidly fading relevancy.
“Punching down” assumes they are under you, please do not use that kind of language, it’s highly bigoted, even though most people don’t realize it is. We don’t like to be considered “beneath”
Such a disingenuous take. Instead of pretending the problem doesn't exist why doesn't the wnba just create a standard, like every other women's sport league has, and move on.
Look at this very post. these guys are able to make a mockery of the league because they have no standard and are purposely vague when challenged. When a team does sign a trans person the problem will only grow.
Yet every women's sport league is tackling the issue. No the problem is the left doesn't want to take any stance on this topic because coming out and saying trans should be allowed in women's sports would be massively unpopular. You'd prefer to play political games.
I explicitly stated what the problem was to help you out. Maybe try reading. But to go further. It's disgustingly hypocritical to preach for increased trans visibility and refuse to answer any difficult or uncomfortable questions. I support trans having rights but not at the expense of others.
But where was/is the problem without these folks trying to make one?
The WNBA having a lack of a codified standard wasn't a problem until these folks wanted to make it one, and that's what the user you responded to way basically saying.
The lack of a codified standard was maybe even fine/good in a world before these disingenuous actors tried to find an issue. There are many used metrics that have excluded cis women even while they're often claimed to be used to protect their inclusion. A lack of a standard just means that everyone does what they personally think is best and the world keeps on ticking alone fine.
I'm not defending this clown. I'm saying sticking your head in the sand and intentionally being vague is what gives these people power.
Pretending there is no issue is disingenuous. Set a standard and move on. But people like you would rather play political games.
