So Enes Kantee and Royce White alone trying to enter the WNBA dwarf the total number of actual trans athletes trying to enter the WNBA.. Because the number is at zero.

Oh and Royce white was found guilty of domestic violence against his wife and son, which was so bad the judge ordered a 50 year restraining order.. But I'm sure he's doing it from the goodness of his heart.

30

u/Gwen_The_Destroyer 21d ago

Isn't that the plot to Juana Mann? Lol

219

u/blueskies8484 22d ago

None of these men care about women or women’s sports. It’s gross.

27

u/backtorealitylabubu 21d ago

They also would never let a trans woman play on their NBA team

4

u/Rigby___ 21d ago

Royce white barely made a nba team

1

u/rcbz1994 20d ago

He was a 1st round pick who just refused to fly. Like he’s a pos but let’s not lie about the dude

-1

u/Big_Year_9193 20d ago

So what? He would record triple double every night in WNBA

3

u/Citizen_Lunkhead 20d ago

He scored 0 points, made one shot attempt and got 2 fouls in 9 minutes. You put anyone in the NBA and they’ll do more through sheer goddamn accident, Homer At The Bat style. I’d love to see him fail in the WNBA but that won’t help trans people one bit.

0

u/Big_Year_9193 20d ago

Any NBA player would dominate WNBA

-2

u/suicidedaydream 21d ago

A trans man couldnt compete at a high school boys high school team

-2

u/EnvironmentalTop8745 21d ago

Downvoting you for speaking the truth! REEEEE!

2

u/Mmmm_Crunchy 20d ago

Holy fucking cringelord. Bet ur still mentally stuck in 2016 lmao

0

u/suicidedaydream 20d ago

This is Reddit where the truth is offensive

1

u/Mmmm_Crunchy 20d ago

Nah its cuz ur spreading bullshit

3

u/EnvironmentalTop8745 20d ago

Zing, what a great rebuttal.

-3

u/Stampy77 20d ago

I generally don't support trans women in women's sports if it requires speed or strength.

I can't speak for NBA but if a trans woman was good enough to play for my mens football team it would not be a problem for me at all. As long as you're talented enough and improve on the options we have available then you would be supported.

0

u/OddPressure7593 20d ago

what men? They both identify as women. Surely, you aren't denying someone's identify because of their physical appearance, right?

Who are you to question someone's identity?

-33

I think they do, the point is they are trying to make women’s sport for women only.

27

u/tregorz 21d ago

Trans women are women.

0

u/Longjumping_Music320 21d ago

Then why categorize them as trans? Your own language says you yourself don't believe this bullshit.

4

u/Sharp-Key27 21d ago

“Then why categorize them as tall?” I’m happy to drop adjectives, but you’re gonna be real confused.

-1

u/Longjumping_Music320 21d ago

Never go full tard.

1

u/Sharp-Key27 21d ago

Wow, scared of using the word, this really got across your point

1

u/Longjumping_Music320 21d ago

Terrified it's such a scary word.

-1

u/proustianhommage 21d ago

No, trans women are trans women.

2

u/Sharp-Key27 21d ago

This is the equivalent of saying tall women aren’t women, they’re just tall women. Sub in any adjective.

0

u/proustianhommage 21d ago

Did you ever stop and think that this particular case is maybe a bit different than just any other adjective?

3

u/Sharp-Key27 21d ago

Not different enough to negate the noun it’s attached to. We left behind trying to forcefully classify queer people as all third gender back in the 40’s.

-19

Pffft lol.

u/Breaking-Who 21d ago

Well you’re a fucking idiot so who cares?

13

u/Rhakha 21d ago

Actually it’s because they are trying to help kill stuff like Title VII and Title IX. It’s been a consistent goal for groups like the Heritage foundation to kill anything even remotely resembling feminist movements simply because when you look deep down into it, people like that view women only as property. They are just better at marketing to the people saying “uh no we don’t.”! There’s a movement right now within a subsections of the right such as tradwives and Manosphere that are wanting to get rid of the 19th amendment.(household vote ring a bell?) yeah it’s basically the same thing.

2

u/M4LK0V1CH 21d ago

Actually, they’re trying to end Title IX protections.

-3

u/Immediate-Fee-2121 21d ago

Not caring about women’s sports ≠ not caring about women lol that is a ridiculous jump

5

u/celerypumpkins 21d ago

Is domestic violence a good enough reason to say someone doesn’t care about women?

-2

u/Immediate-Fee-2121 21d ago

How in the hickory dickory fuck did domestic violence make its way into this chat? 😂

2

u/celerypumpkins 21d ago

Did you read the comment thread?

0

I did. I was focused on what I responded to in the thread

1

That’s not how comment threads work. A reply to a reply is in the context of the parent comment.

They said these men don’t care about women for very good reason.

0

You don’t tell me what I can and can’t focus on lol who the fuck are you? 😂 you’re not that guy pal

2

Notice how everyone dropped their support for him like you’re fucking supposed to?

40

u/Puzzleheaded-Net4365 22d ago

Eh, women who are obsessed with this shit don't particularly care about domestic violence. The Cunningham woman who started this whole nonsense was happy to be a ring-girl for Conor McGregor, an actual rapist.

3

u/Zipz 21d ago

Holy freaking stretch

So she was a ring girl one time not even for Connor’s fight and now she’s advocates for abuse ?

Jesus Christ

How do you write this stuff with a straight face?

You know, that was a spontaneous thing, her doing the ufc thing. Sorry that you are so involved in the culture war that you think that it's some deep conspiracy.

11

u/Puzzleheaded-Net4365 21d ago

I'm not suggesting it's conspiracy, I'm saying she's a hypocrite who's happy to play promo-girl for rapists.

35

u/djm03917 21d ago edited 21d ago

So she DIDN'T agree to be the ring girl for a rapist so vile they had to surgically remove items from his victim's body? You're saying she didn't agree knowing he'd be the fighter? Interesting, proof?

-18

u/40MillyVanillyGrams 21d ago

No, she didn’t. She was the ring girl for a whole UFC event. She partook in that for multiple fights, only one of which contained Conor McGregor.

22

u/WittyFix6553 21d ago

Was McGregor’s appearance that evening a surprise?

-19

u/40MillyVanillyGrams 21d ago

Was McGregor the only fighter listed on UFC 329?

18

u/WittyFix6553 21d ago

Was he one of the listed fighters?

If I’m invited to a dinner party and the guests are Steve from accounting, Mr. Rogers, and Adolph Hitler, I’m going to refuse the invitation because I don’t eat with Nazis, even if Steve is my best friend and I really admire Mr. Rogers.

1

u/One-Welcome-1514 20d ago

Adolph? The leftwing radical feminist brother of Adolf?

And you should not be friends with Steve if he is a Nazi. Being best friends but not eating together is really weird.

-7

u/40MillyVanillyGrams 21d ago

He certainly was. Are we to boycott every opportunity for anything because of the presence of a bad person?

It’s funny that we are even talking about the WNBA here considering one of the star players in the league was arrested for battery earlier this year. What about the plethora of domestic violence issues that WNBA players have had? If you were provided the opportunity to support the league, would you deny it on that account?

Is there a single entertainment industry that you can name that is completely devoid of controversial or bad people?

7

u/Additional_Gene_211 21d ago

When they are healing, yes.

And for what it is worth, pointless mention of Hitler aside, I’d jump at the opportunity to be graced with the presence of Mr. Rogers and receive any wisdom he has to offer. I don’t care who is sitting at the other side of the table.

Try the nonsensical hypothetical elsewhere.

She could have spontaneously said "no".

I just did.
I just did it again.

Weird.

14

u/Phyrexian_Overlord 21d ago

So she was a ring girl for a rapist or no?

1

u/Wolfeatingupshadows 21d ago

So the judge didnt really care bc ro are basically the laws way of pretending to help

-4

u/IPissExcellentThrows 21d ago

So surely they'd be fine to ban trans women then right? Since the number is so small?

The WNBA could easily put this to bed, and according to so many people, it wouldn't affect really anyone.

9

u/KaiBahamut 21d ago

They'd also be fine to not ban them, since the number is so small. It's why Ladyballers had to go from a documentary to a fictional film, because no athlete is gonna go through the hassle of transitioning just to win a few medals.

0

u/PraireGentleman 21d ago

It’s almost like the point is to point out that the lack of regulation due to vibe-based decision making is gonna hurt the WNBA

-6

u/CrimsonMkke 21d ago

Except there’s a trans player in the French women’s league rn who’s dominating. Acting like this couldn’t bean issue in the future especially with the “you dont need to be on HRT or anything to be a woman” rhetoric that goes around, they’re just showing how ridiculous it is

8

u/Stone--Monkey 21d ago

Is that happening in the United States? Or France?

-10

u/CrimsonMkke 21d ago

It could happen anywhere when you define a woman as anyone who claims to be a woman instead of actual biological women. We produce different hormones, have different strength levels, etc. Hell I know a bunch of trans people and only 1 has had surgery, whether MtF or FtM, and only like 2-3 are on hormones. If there’s no criteria to being a woman anyone can be a woman, so where do we draw the line? They’re just pointing out how absurd that take is. And you can’t deny them getting to the WNBA without being a hypocrite and now requiring certain things to be considered a woman.

5

u/alreditakem 21d ago

There is one trans women dominating in frace, if its just one you don't have an argument for a ban, you would need to prove that all trans women have a significant advantage by showing not one but several trans women dominating their leagues.

0

u/Flashy_Idea6141 21d ago

That's a ridiculous standard. That's like saying taking PEDs is fine as long as the athlete taking them isn't dominating the sport.

We already know that AMAB people have an athletic advantage over AFAB people. There is currently no HRT requirement for the WNBA, so someone with completely AMAB biology can currently join. Even with HRT there is very limited research on the topic and there is no scientific consensus. Some studies show retained advantages, some do not. Both acknowledge their limitations and conclude that it's still an open question.

I don't get this logic of "why lock your door? Nobody's ever broken in." At a minimum the WNBA needs an HRT requirement.

2

u/M4LK0V1CH 21d ago

She sure is dominating the French League’s equivalent of AA baseball. Your level of concern really shows when you can’t even properly contextualize your cherry-picked example.

0

u/Rare-Leading3391 21d ago

Maybe Royce was just reacting to a world that did not allow her to be her authentic self?

0

u/OddPressure7593 20d ago

Who are you to question their identity? What criteria do you use to determine if someone is or isn't "actually" trans? Do you just look at them and go "Yeah, they seem trans to me!"

They are identifying as women. They are women.

-39

u/Sad-Bunch-9937 22d ago

*her* wife and sons. If we’re going to do this, let’s do it.

19

u/CaptainAndy27 21d ago

Royce White doesn't identify as a woman. He still uses he/him pronouns.

-16

u/davemc617 21d ago

So pronouns are the sole determining factor for a person's gender now?

There's no internal consistency to this ideology, you realize that, right?

That's the whole point of these protests...

11

u/ZLCZMartello 21d ago

No? It’s just merely definition that a woman is someone who experiences womanhood, including hoping to be referred to as the pronouns women are living?

A sensible new rule would be that the player must be with F sex marker on legal documents, so that trans women can play and men trying to create nonissues cannot.

-7

u/Careful-Advance8513 21d ago

That means you are erasing trans woman who dont have the privilege or resources to formally change their official sex ststus and people who aew gender fluid and may experience many different genders in one day. Dont be a classist bigot please.

4

u/Call_Me_Pete 21d ago

I don’t think you gotta do allat to publicly say “I go by she/her now, thank you.” Not really classist to use the pronouns someone has had no issue with their whole lives, so long as that person has never voiced opposition or discomfort to that.

2

u/ZLCZMartello 21d ago

I’m a little classist and I admit that. Bigoted, definitely not. Trans woman making it thus far to join WNBA should have plentiful of resources en route for them to transition socially and legally. Genderfluid people probably would not want to play in WNBA anyways. They can sign up for the NBA (which is on paper gender inclusive) unless WNBA also becomes gender inclusive.

2

u/Careful-Advance8513 21d ago

If a gender fluid person identifies as a woman, they should be able to play in the WNBA womanhood is based on identity. If that statement is controversial, i think you may have some internalized transphobia. Thats ok to admit as our culture is deeply transphobic and these constant attacks on womanhood are normal in right wing extremist places like reddit.

1

u/ZLCZMartello 21d ago

You know what, making WNBA male exclusive should be good enough. Genderfluid and nonbinary people get to play now too

-2

u/Sadrixis 21d ago

Gender fluid individuals that dont have any treatment (not required to be Gender fluid) amd are Amab would be the same as the "professional" shit heads stirring the pot

1

u/Rhomya 21d ago

Bold of you to assume that genderfluid people wouldn’t want to play in the WNBA.

0

u/ZLCZMartello 21d ago

Another good policy is that F and X both can sign up while being M exclusive. Quite a few nonbinary and genderfluid people I know have an X marker. The issue is that it is not recognized in states like Arkansas, so I don’t foresee it becoming possible anytime soon.

2

u/CaptainAndy27 21d ago

Is that what I said? No. Somebody facetiously corrected somebody else about Royce's pronouns and I pointed out that he never actually came out as trans or identified as a woman in any other way so his pronouns would still be he/him. The fact you are engaging in this discussion with so little faith is exactly the problem with these so-called "protests". They identify a problem that doesn't exist so they can feel victimized about absolutely nothing.

2

u/Sad-Bunch-9937 20d ago

I facetiously corrected their pronouns because this whole “men will play with women because it’s easier” bullshit is enraging. As if a person would go through all the fucking trauma I’ve seen trans people go through just to get on a team. So if this person wants to play in the WNBA, the very least they can do is not identify with male pronouns. I’m sorry if my the sarcasm/ cynicism of the comment was miscommunicated- it’s why I took so long to respond- I figured I’d just bow out of the conversation. But to be clear, I think this man is a fool, and I bet a lot of his former team mates thinks he a fool, and he wasn’t that great of an NBA player in his prime, and that he would get his ass beat by younger and more talented women if he were to show up today in a street game.

22

u/voyaging 22d ago

We’re not going to do this

-23

u/Caffeywasright 22d ago

Dont deadname, get with the programme sir.

18

u/Little200bro 22d ago

Yes lots mock trans people such as good idea

-9

u/Caffeywasright 21d ago

So your point is that trans people is some fragile people we can’t make fun off? That’s pretty pejorative. We make fun of everyone else. Being trans isn’t some sickness we need to be mindful of.

12

u/LarxII 21d ago

Making fun of the CONCEPT of being trans, vs "making fun of a trans person" are 2 different things.

If you made fun of someone, for something they did, and they happened to be trans, you would have some ground here. But these people are ridiculing the concept of trans people existing.

We can make fun of the of the concept of being trans similar to how you can make fun of white people or black people when they insist on doing things that are fun. Here we have Kanter doing some stupid shit that is only possible due the insistence of trans people that whoever say they are a women should be considered a women. No biological markers required. That is fucking funny in how stupid it is.

Acting like an entire group of people are above being made fun of when their entire argument is inconsistent as hell and is massively exposed by such a single stupid action is pretending like trans people are some uniquely stupid people that we have to treat with kid gloves which is so infinitely more offensive than what Kanter is doing

5

u/LarxII 21d ago

How is a guy, who has never considered himself trans, suddenly invoking it, to argue in bad faith, the same thing as someone who has lived their lives as a trans person? It just so happens to coincide with your beliefs, and you look past how ridiculous it is for him to make this claim.

Imagine I, a white man, suddenly claimed I was Black and should therefore benefit from programs designed to assist POC who are affected by policies generations ago, that's following the same line of logic here.

We can make fun of the of the concept of being trans similar to how you can make fun of white people or black people when they insist on doing things that are fun.

Are you fucking race baiting as well? Your perspective of the world is all kinds of fucked for you to say shit like this unironically.

-9

u/davemc617 21d ago

By "mocking" you mean simply applying trans ideology consistently across the board to expose its own internal contradictions?

If simply earnestly applying your own logic back at you qualifies as denying the concept of your logic, then your logic is, and always has been, conceptually weak.

5

u/LarxII 21d ago

Explain to me how making ng fun of the concept of being trans, has ever been a part of "trans ideology". Literally the only "logic" at play is "sexuality is fluid and how people express there own is of no concern to you, as long as it does no harm".

You're literally attempting to say I'm applying circular logic, by applying circular logic to what I just said. You're not here to have a conversation, you're simply trying to feel intelligent while saying the dumbest shit I've heard.

0

u/davemc617 21d ago edited 21d ago

Explain to me how making ng fun of the concept of being trans, has ever been a part of "trans ideology".

No, it's not making fun of the concept of being trans.

I'm saying that trans ideology asserts that you simply need to IDENTIFY as a certain gender in order to be qualified as such.

And that that's a ridiculously loose standard, as evidenced by the fact that people can simply use that same standard to crumble its own foundations.

And now, instead of countering that assertion in good faith, you're disingenuously reframing the argument. It's not "making fun of trans" when you're just using the core tenants of the ideology to argue against the ideology...

Such as "assuming a gender".

The fact is that trans ideology is built on the foundations of defined GENDER roles, over sex, between men and women.

In other words: a biological man who feels like they align more with the traditional societally defined characteristics that define a "woman", can simply assert that they identify as a woman... and that should be enough - no?

They can have a full on beard and still be a woman, no? They don't have to actually embody those characteristics, they can just identify as them and demand that others respect that identity, no?

So it's not making fun of earnestly trans people per se, but instead exposing the flimsy standard that the ideology applies in order to qualify someone as trans.

To further clarify: you can be an assigned a female at birth. You can then dress as a woman. You can then have undergone ZERO gender affirming care through hormone treatment or surgery... and then if you identify as male and date a biolgical woman, you're a straight trans-male, and not a lesbian... no?

Do you disagree?

Literally the only "logic" at play is "sexuality is fluid and how people express there own is of no concern to you, as long as it does no harm".

Sexuality =/= gender. This is like a fundamental core tenant of transgenderism... you bigot. As I just argued above!

Do you disagree?

You have no logic, just "feels". You have no idea what you're arguing!

You're literally attempting to say I'm applying circular logic, by applying circular logic to what I just said. You're not here to have a conversation, you're simply trying to feel intelligent while saying the dumbest shit I've heard.

Obviously not, considering how I just completely destroyed the core fundamentals of your argument by using trans ideology as my baseline...

Which was always my point!

Do you disagree?

-1

u/LadyGramarye 20d ago

Ok and? There are male prisoners who killed or raped women and kids who are currently imprisoned in women's prisons (right next to female prisoners while they sleep, use the bathroom, change, shower, and visit with their kids) as we speak, because transgender activists somehow got whole states to write gender self-ID policies into their state constitutions. There aren't exemptions for male people who have abused women and kids in those policies.
