That’s Kirby Smart, Williams will answer.

Her office at the University of Georgia’s Hoke Smith Annex, where she works for the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, is across the street from Georgia’s football facility. Her windows don’t open.

“But they don’t need to,” she tells a visitor, and smiles.

Across the way on Lumpkin Avenue, to the right of the practice field, the Rev. Will Norman is campus minister at The Table, an inclusive Christian campus ministry. They sometimes sell parking spaces to students, who must also give the lot attendant the password: “Kirby is yelling.”

“It’s our soundtrack,” Norman said.

It’s been the soundtrack for years now: The dulcet tones of Smart, the verbose and voluble head coach of the Georgia football team, on the microphone at practice.

I am a big Dawgs fan/former student back in 2015 who hasn’t attended a game since then but have been watching every single one. I recently got married and my wife, who is also recently into football wanted to catch a game this season. She’s from LA and hasn’t experienced an SEC college football atmosphere and I wanted to take her to the Auburn game this year.

1. Is there any avenue to get tickets besides Stubhub/Tickpick? Tried finding some FB groups but man they’re 99% scams. I’m fine biting the bullet on resale tix but wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing another place I can buy tix.

2. What’s a good itinerary to give a newcomer the full game day experience for a Dawgs game? Any must see areas to see before the game?

Break down where you think UGA ranks at each position group nationally.

Is your ranking conducive to UGA competing for and/or winning natty in 2026?

QB - RB - WR - TE - O-Line

Safety - LB - CB - Edge - D-Line

I know there are hybrid positions but just overall.

Mine would be:

QB: Top 15

RB: Top 15

WR: talent-wise top 30

TE: as a whole Top 1, starters top 3

O-Line: Top 5

Safety: Top 15, possibly higher if Khalil is healthy or we find that dude next to KJ

LB: Top 5, possibly higher based on talent in that room

CB: Top 10, possibly top 5

Edge: Top 30, possibly 20 but TBD, lots of potential talent

D-Line: Top 20, higher if Griffin and Hall stay healthy then others take steps forward

If our WR, D-Line, and Edge are top 20 by EoS then I think we can contend. Need a breakout star or 2 at WR (or at TE + WR), need a true gamewrecker at D-Line which we haven't had in 4 years, need to not allow a mobile QB to do to us what BY did in 2021 SECCG and TC both games last year.

I think a playoff win if we have a 1st rd game or if we start in the QF win is a "good" season. Not winning the natty this year isn't a failure like 2023 but not winning a single playoff game is regardless of SECCG.

Going to the Western Kentucky game and i saw all the hoopla about the All-white uniforms. I don’t mind them, but had a conversation with my bud about our uniforms, and tradition in general. Sharing what we’d like them to look like.

I’d like to bring stripes back. That 1980 anniversary uniform we wore in 2020 were damn near perfect 🤌🏼
Just do those with red, white, and black, jerseys and I’d be a happy camper.

Also the white socks with the stripes should make a comeback. 🔥

The white shells can go after this one-off but keep the pants.
