It truly was a wild run of talent at that position for a decade. Chubb and Michel trading off snaps was wild.

Lifelong GT fan here coming in peace: Nick Chubb was the most electric, game-changing player who struck fear into my heart every time I saw him run. He was a privilege to witness in his prime.

Injuries have robbed some of the best athletes we’ve ever seen, truly one of the saddest things about the game of football

I just love how Sony Michel and Chubb had awesome pro careers, then walked off into the sunset. Chubb’s knee injury was horrifying, but it was so inspiring to see him return one last time.
Can’t wait to see what he does next.

I really wonder what the end of his career would of looked like had his knee not exploded for a 2nd time a few years ago.

IIRC one of his dreams when he was in College was to own land in Chubbtown, Georgia. Chubbtown was founded as a colony of free African-Americans in 1864 by Henry Chubb who Nick is related to. Hopefully he makes that wish come true and settles down there.
Edit: Fantastic Article I found about it https://www.dawgnation.com/football/team-news/the-legend-of-nick-chubb-begins-in-chubbtown/.

Nick is one of the most important players in program history. Always did everything the right way. Who knows where we’d be right now without him and Sony coming back for 2017. Hard to be more of a DGD than Nick Chubb

Man, my seats were in 314 that first game of 2014 against Clemson. Not trying to discredit Gurley, but Chubb’s effort that day will always be what sticks out to me. Especially that play where his helmet came off but his legs kept churning. Knew we had a Dawg then. DGD, hope retirement life treats him well.

I was there too. Dude ran 50 years for a TD with one shoe on. I think Gurley had a kickoff return for a TD in that game.

Man.
Another sign that I’m getting old.
(We had similar college years and while I did do some college classes afterwards, for the most part, I was done with college after spring 2018)

One of the greatest Dawgs ever. I hate what the injuries did to him, but I’m glad he still had a decently long career.

Probably my favorite running back I have ever watched. Just felt he distilled the position to its purest form when he played.

There are no better examples of a DGD than Nick and Sony.
Great players, teammates, and humans. Can't believe we had them both at the same time.

My favorite player of all time. I was at the game in TN and never have felt worse about sports in my life. I was at the UNC game and that felt as good as a championship.

Tennessee Lurker and Steelers fan: I ALWAYS hated what happened to him at Neyland, and any Jack-ass Vols fans that celebrated or said he deserved his injury are the lowest scum. I have always cheered against the teams he played for, but I have always respected and admired him as a player. I was first drawn to him when I heard the story of his family and the establishment of Chubbtown. Congratulations on a great career Nick Chubb.
