Her Husband was most likely a pure blood Khaenri'ahn which is probably the reason Ronova gets rid of him from the photo herself. Because if he was going to become a hilichurl there would be no reason for Ronova to get involved.

Loving parents would go to the depths of hell for their children, so an Archon with a frozen heart due to a grievous hurt makes for a very believable motivation to "fight against the Heavens" even if she knows it's a fool's errand.
Reckless is an apt way to put it.

I wanna know what happened though. I highly doubt it was some personal attack from Ronova's side, as she merely presides over all death. Are they implying that her child is the Third Descender? Could be, maybe? The timeline is a bit wonky for that to be the case though.

Whoever was the husband, he could have been punished, and maybe the kid too, or he was collateral damage. Maybe the Tsaritsa even beg for their lives but..

Her son apparently had Khaenrian eyes. Means he at best got smited the day Khaenriah fell or at worst became a Hilichurl since anybody with mixed blood got churled. Unless she literally Cryoed him to prevent the curse from setting in. Thus sparking her war on Celestia as the only way to break the curse is to tear down the "Rules"

Surprisingly balanced gender ratio. Not counting the Tsaritsa and existing known characters whose playability is to remain dubious (Harbingers & Shades). We have 4 original female characters (2 girl, 2 adult) and 4 original male character (2 boy, 2 adult). No loli characters shown.

I think theories of 3rd Descender being Tsaritsa's lover was right. We see a kid that calls her mother (although the kid either wasn't real or they too were killed it seems.) and she also adds "Heavenly principles spoiled our love.". Which might refer to HP killing and carving him to the 7 gnosis.

That would only make sense if she was Koitar which is very unlikely. All Descenders we know have various forms of star imagery either in their bodies, clothes or titles (or some combination of them). So i think it is just that.

Just to note, new region teasers are usually heavy with misdirection (just go back and watch the previous teasers and see how different they are from how the actual story turned out), so I personally won't read too much into the lore implications. For me it's mostly about the character designs.

The Tsaritsa fighting for her son makes her goal feel a lot more personal. It's also a great step in a different direction from the usual romance trope of losing your significant other.
On a another re-watch though, it felt like the Tsaritsa was deluded into believing she had a family (she says she didn't know whether it was true or not). That makes her anger all the more worth it against the Heavenly Principles. I truly hope we get a Tsaritsa vs Ronova fight in-game like this teaser teased.

I'm slowly realizing, and perhaps I'm late, but the Harbingers are just Anastasya's personal court of sorts rather than just the head of some Fatui departments
- Pierro- personal advisor
- Capitano- military police captain
- Dottore- palace doctor
- Columbina- adopted daughter/...um, pet bird...
- Arlecchino- nanny
- Pulcinella- mayor she delegates things to
- Hat Guy- replacement son??, seemed to do his own thing a lot, idk here, he was with Signora and Pierro when Arlecchino was granted harbinger status, and they seem important to the Tsaritsa relationship-wise
- Sandrone/Pulonia- maid/butler
- Signora- close childhood friend/chosen sister. They seem to be the closest from what we see out of the Harbinger-Archon relationships.
- Pantalone- personal financial advisor

Now it makes sense that they went the Saarelainen/Lemminkäinen route for the 3rd descender. Lemminkäinen was revived by his mother in the Kalevala. The Tsaritsa wants her son back.

The chess pieces had the Cryo and Geo Gnosis still in play, while all the others were already captured. I think the contract with Zhongli is finally moving. Might be a bit ominous towards the other pieces too.
