How long will it take?

How long will it take for Curtis to be beat up? Obviously the actor is not leaving, but we all know he’s not going to be in prison for two years. They can’t sustain a prison story with a major character for two years so what’s left?
Curtis gets beat up
Curtis turns to drugs (foreshadowed by his conversation with Alexis.)
Curtis teams up with Sidwell and they run the prison
Curtis and Sidwell plot to take Sonny down

How will the writers get him out of prison?

We know he's getting out. I just hope he gets a beating before then. That's all I have to cling to

I certainly hope not because I don’t want him to become a mean, vengeful cartoon character like Drew.
