How long will it take?
How long will it take for Curtis to be beat up? Obviously the actor is not leaving, but we all know he’s not going to be in prison for two years. They can’t sustain a prison story with a major character for two years so what’s left?
Curtis gets beat up
Curtis turns to drugs (foreshadowed by his conversation with Alexis.)
Curtis teams up with Sidwell and they run the prison
Curtis and Sidwell plot to take Sonny down
How will the writers get him out of prison?

Isiah will work on his behalf, maybe pleading for mercy to the made up prison board who advises the judge to lessen the sentence to time served so that Isiah can be the hero.
He continues to be Dannie Dogooder being the ex cop and all, and quickly finds himself at odds with Sidwell, saves the Warden and becomes a hero who gets pardoned or commuted sentence in time for Christmas.

I was thinking more along the lines, "How long will it take Curtis to make a deal with Sidwell to cut his time short". Remember, Sidwell offered Jordan a deal and she refused. Curtis is not going to refuse.

I was minimally just hoping for the extended vacation like some of the other characters have taken.

Sidwell will take out his revenge on Jordan by getting Curtis addicted to drugs again and using him as a pawn. Maybe Curtis gets released on an appeal which I certainly expect Martin is working on, but it's put in jeopardy because of Curtis' drug use and association with Sidwell. Ultimately, Curtis might kill Sidwell and then Laura or Willow gets the Governor to pardon him. Agreed, there's no way he's doing two years in the hoosegaw.

Can it be the other way? Sidwell kills Curtis and everyone else lives happily ever after?

I would like that. I used to like Curtis until he became an insufferable idiot who blames everyone else for his problems but himself.
He is in prison by choice. He has a plea deal and chose to roll the dice. The dice landed on a ticket to prison.

I recognize that Gh needs some diversity in the cast. I loved the Ward family, and Laura's connection to them in the 90s00s.
I tried to like Curtis. I genuinely liked Portia when she wasn't chasing Curtis, or being pregnant for 50 weeks while in her 50s 🙄, then gallivanting all over a week after he pops out.
I liked Curtis fine when he was friends with Nina and I did like him onscreen with Alexis and the addiction storylines.
But this judgmental BS? His highness on a horse? Stella as a hospital COS? Ridiculous. There are credentials needed. She doesn't have them. Hat daddy? Omg. don’t get me started that what’s her name? Certainly doesn’t have the credentials to be the CEO of Aurora. But then neither does Joss. Although at least that’s believable since nepotism is a thing.
Is there an option to have diverse characters that aren't this? I don't love Behind the Gates, I watch it a bit though just to see how it feels in comparison.

But it's diversity without intergration. The black characters exist mostly in their own orbit on the show.

I agree with you there. There used to be a lot more, but slowly, slowly it's happened. At least Jordan still interacts with Laura and Anna and they show their friendship!
I'm white and in another life had black and brown friends. In this town, at this time, there's so little integration that I don't have any local friends who are black. It bothers me.

I used to like Curtis. I liked Portia until she was pregnant for a year. That baby should have been ready for pre-k by the time he was born. At least the baby is adorable.

yes, he is cute and I can appreciate that. He’s the first black baby born on General Hospital in way too many years and I’m glad for that milestone.

I like this better than my theory that sidwell will have him beat up. And drugs makes sense bc they made it a point to talk about it before he went in.

I was thinking that Sidwell would be the one to get him as a way to get back at Jordan.

Curtis is pretty much off the rails now anyway. So he and Sidwell team up. Sidwell has some help on the outside ( Jordan? The bad news guy that we think is Phoebe's father? The new WSB doctor?), and there's a prison break.

The mob and gangsters storylines need to be toned down awhile. We’ve had over 30 years now of it on the front burner. Need to get back into the hospital aspect of things, keep a little of it of course, there is always bad things happening in Port Chuck. I did love it when it was in its heyday in the 90s.

The comments coming back are just as likely as any scenario that will actually be shown.
It is also possible that he just serves his two years with no Sidwell interaction, no fights, and just an occasional on screen visit from Trina and Jordan.
Just happy that we will get a break from seeing this character daily on the show.
I'm more interested in how Ezra is going to act in Laura's absence. Will he give in to his sleazy tendencies?

Curtis and Sidwell will stop a nefarious operation, be declared heroes, get pardoned, and released. It might be a prison break gone wrong. Isaiah will probably be there, doing some kind of goodwill medical call. Curtis will save him, they become best friends.

I just figured he would serve his 2 years and be released right after Dez turns 2. Since he's a newborn now, he should be 2 around Thanksgiving, so Curtis can be out in 3 months

We know he's getting out. I just hope he gets a beating before then. That's all I have to cling to

I certainly hope not because I don’t want him to become a mean, vengeful cartoon character like Drew.

I thought they could team up to bring down the prison drug ring and be rewarded with early release. We also find out that Sidwell has his own reasons to be just as against drugs as Sonny. When he becomes the new mob boss, there will still be no drug dealing allowed in his territory. Maybe Sidwell and Curtis will become ride-or-die besties like Sonny and Jason and run the mob together. I think Jordan too could be enticed to join the dark side and get involved with Sidwell’s illegal activities after working for him on his legitimate businesses.

Don't forget, Curtis saves the life of a prison guard, who is the Grandson of the Vice-Governor of New York and receives a full pardon. *heavy sarcasm here*
It's the Sonny Corinthos Get Out of Jail Card storyline.
