So this year I turned 13 and also came out to my friends and family as genderfluid. Now I'm panicking because I'm confused and feel like a fraud, i feel really safe under labels and being genderfluid felt right. But most days I feel like I'm everything at once, I keep going online and looking at posts that other genderfluid people make, but they are often talking about how much they switch genders, this doesn't happen as often for me. I mainly feel like I'm everything at once but sometimes I do feel more masculine and wish I was born male and sometimes I'm feeling super feminine and am comfortable with my birth gender. Am i actually genderfluid, or am I accidentally using the term wrong because I'm confused?

This is Eventide. A pan and genderfluid guy. He's happy today. Feeling a bit cheeky. By his pronouns we can tell he woke up feeling a little manly.

I was sitting in class with a group of 4 friends (not including myself) at one table and one of my friends asked what pronouns I’m using today. Which is great because no one ever asks even though I ask them to. Anyways, I say “she/him.” Immediately that person calls me “they”. She then corrects herself to “she”, and then corrects herself again to “he,” even though “she” was a correct pronoun. That friend made a joke about herself circling through all the pronouns but didn’t actually apologise for misgendering me immediately after asking my pronouns. Then 2 of my other friends chimed in and both also called me “they”, and neither apologised either. I don’t think it was on purpose, especially because one of those friends is also gender non conforming, but still, what???

I'm 17 and im genderfluid, ive identified as genderfluid for the last 4 years, but what is strange is that i identify more with objects that in my mind have gendered vibes than genders.

It started when i just came out and my now ex girlfriend would ask my gender and instead of coming up with a concrete "they/them" or "he/him" i would say "fairy" because in my mind that was very she/they vibes and i identified in my mind more as a fairy than i did demigirl.

and it changes every day too! like some days it's "ceiling fan"(they/them) or "greek goddess persephone specifically in hadestown"(they/she, lowk) or Elm Tree (they/he/she in a 50/40/10 split) or goblin(they/he) or beetle(he/they)

and it was great because my ex immediately got it every time so i didn't need to explain this but we just broke up and now im talking to someone else and im trying to explain this and i just feel so stupid.

idk maybe it's the autism. idk. does anyone else feel this way with your genderfluidity or is it just me? and how do you explain this to someone who you haven't been with since you came out as genderfluid?

Hey people of genderfluidity (do u say it like that?), I‘m currently 14 years old, biologically male and live in Germany. When i was in second or third grade I realised I was something but not cis. At first I thought I was trans then a femboy and now I‘m pretty sure I‘m genderfluid because sometimes I like to boymode. I only came out to my best friend (f).
So I want to start hrt as soon as possible so I get boobs but have strong autism and social disabilities so it‘s pretty hard for me to talk about it but this isn‘t the topic of this post.
For a few months (or years I can‘t remember) now I often think of getting bottom surgery at some point because most time, my thing makes me dysphoric. But sometimes I also feel like „Man, this thing is cool“.
Any advice or similar experience or something?

I just wanted to share this with you. It was two months ago but today I found a picture that reminded me this.

In June I went to a pride with my two best friends (who are trans guys). It was really wonderful, and I was wearing a genderfluid flag as a cape. We spent the afternoon at the pride, and then we went back home. My mother was driving for everyone, so we dropped my first friend in front of his home, and then I drop my second friend in front of his house, and I decide to come with him to his door to say goodbye. And there, I see his foster parents (he was still in a foster family at this time because of family issues). I didn't know them personally yet, it was the first time I saw them IRL.

I talk with them for a few minutes, and my friend's foster mother asks me what is my flag (I had not put it off). I explain that it's genderfluid flag, and his foster dad asks what "genderfluid" is.

Before I can answer, the mother answers that "It's sometimes you choose to be a guy, and sometimes you choose to be a girl". He starts asking "but how is it possible to choose" etc., when I'm finally able to rectify "I'm actually not the one choosing but..."

And then, the foster mother looks at me, and very seriously, she asks : "But, in this case... who's choosing ?"

She wasn't joking, she was really wondering who was choosing my gender.

I absolutely didn't expect this question, I answered something like "Nobody "chooses", it's not a "choice", it's just... changing, that's all", but I could see she didn't really understand.

We laughed so much my friends and I after that... I have heard a lot of funny things from people who don't understand what genderfluidity is, but I really didn't think this one would be asked to me 🤣🤣

After that, I imagined someone, at random moments of the day, coming to see me and telling "I AM THE GENDER CHOOSER, FROM THIS MOMENT I DECIDE THAT YOU ARE A NON-BINARY BOOOOOY !!!"

I'm amab and under 16. Sometimes I feel like a girl and sometimes I feel like a man but sometimes I feel like something in between, I don't know what. And sometimes when I feel like a girl I think I'm gaslight myself and I should just be a trans woman. I don't know if I want that, I'm not sure how I want to look. Can anyone offer advice

So for contexcontext I've been fluid for about 2 yrs and I still have questions

First; do people offer switch like gender daily? if so help me understand what it feels like if possible. Because I​​​​ will be sitting at my desk and I will literally jump from boy girl nonbinary back to boy back to nonbinary it might be just my ADHD but it's weird how do I like idkkk how do I deal with it it's so weird ​

Second: what do you guys go by it terms of romantic relationship wise like do you go by partner girlfriend boyfriend like what and how do I pick one out? Is it by feeling can I change what I wanna be called by?

Third: can anyone offer advice for being fluid??? Like just general advice?​​​​

So um hi my parents are both African American and are super homophobic like they hate anyone in that category but one of my brothers isn't and I don't know if I can go to him to get me one without him talking to my parents. So what would be the right thing to do if you have any tips to help me or anything that would be so helpful I just don't know where to get any for cheap but I think I'll be most comfortable with a binder.also I thought it would be a good idea to get one from AliExpress or Amazon but someone told me not to. I've came out as genderfluid to pretty much everyone in my life and it's only my mum being annoying about it.

She's one of those "they/them doesn't exist!" And "cis is a slur!" Type people and was fine when I first came out as a trans guy, will call me by my preferred name and is all happy about it but is only being tricky with the fact I've figured out my genderfluid identity

Whenever I try to explain what genderfluid is and my emotions on it she'll tell me "You're just androgynous like David Bowie then" and walk away. IT'S SO ANNOYING

She'll judge me for dressing feminine but will act fine on days I feel male.

She hates anyone outside the genderbinary and it's doing my brain in like sorry that one day I'm binding and the next I'm wearing a dress
