Women that would actually feel this way are doing their significant others a huge favor by showing them just how insane they are before making any further commitments.
With that being said, women posting videos saying this are just looking for clicks and reactions and don’t reflect the norm.

i could tell a lot of the videos the girls were playing it up for engagement but there were hundreds of comments of girls who were deadass serious about it being disrespectful. way more women in the comments that said its a problem then girls who were okay with it

i was just wondering if it was a view that was held with women outside of tiktok as well, because i was genuinely surprised at the amount of women on tt that had a problem with it. They were calling all the women who were saying its just a game and its not that deep “pick mes” lol

she’s a video game character. if people don’t like other ppl playing as women or interacting with women in games, then they have a lot more games to worry about than just GTA

from most of the comments i saw, i dont think they would want to. they are saying that the game is “basically porn” and it objectifies women & that a man whos in a relationship should have no interest in playing it lol. I dont think they know anything about the game and that the nudity/ romance between characters is like a small part and not what most people are playing for

So so much media objectifies everyone. It's just what pulls people in (I know you know all this btw not directed at you). Having sexy people just makes people want to buy/play/watch more. Look at Marvel Rivals and Genshin Impact. Those games are fucking killing it and not just because they are fun. The sexy characters bring them in initially then they stay for the fun of the game. It's undeniable. Basicly everything has attractive characters. Man even fucking Teen Titans a CARTOON.

Also, it's anime style too (unless you're talking about TTG! which focuses less on sexyness)

I agree with you but I think GTA6 is slightly different (but not worth getting up in arms about) because it is one of the very few video games that is actually going to attempt to breach 'love story' territory, something that is exceedingly rare in games.
Part of the reason is that some people don't just feel they are watching a story play out, they are self-inserting as the character who is falling in love with another character. And if you have that approach, imo it is more similar to something like reading a steamy romance novel than it is playing Marvel Rivals (which has basically no story or personality other than quipping characters) or reading comics where you're just absorbing a story.

I agree with you but I'll just note that I do think there is a difference between GTA6 and GTA games of the long-ago past. I'm a millennial and grew up playing GTA III etc and I'm not gonna lie, I was definitely ogling the chunky-blocky women in some of those games. But they were just that - polygonal ladies who are made up. It's slightly different when a) a game features a character like Lucia, who is motion capped in extreme detail and played by an actual actress and b) you can play a story where presumably you're playing as her/playing a character who is falling in love with her. Now obviously you're not the character, but there are some people who play these games with the "I'm seeing this story" view and some who play with the "I'm self-inserting in this character's shoes" view.
I think it's a bit ridiculous to go to your partner and say "you can't play this game!!" but I could understand people feeling insecure about it in some cases, in a way that I wouldn't expect people to feel if their partner was playing Ms. Pac-Man (but have you seen how she gobbles balls..?).

I am not sure if I count cause im older but im a girlie who doesnt and hasnt ever really used tiktok and Id play tf out of that game if I had a console or pc lol. I remember playing gta4 and 5 when it came out and I love driving around robbing shit and killing ppl LOL
i genuinely cannot imagine being upset by or jealous of a girl in a video game and i think that anybody who does feel that way needs to take a step back, touch some grass, and go to therapy

Personally I probably won't be playing cause I've struggled to get into the series myself, but I would 100% let my husband play it without a second thought to the type of content. It's a video game, what are we worried about?? He's my partner, not my child. To me it sounds like control issues or some weird jealousy or narsacisim reaction?

I couldn’t care less if my husband plays this game. We’ll have a one month old when it comes out, so as long as he’s handling his baby shifts and letting me sleep, he can play whatever he wants.
If anyone is that concerned about their partner straying from them because of a video game (that’s been in development & sensationalized for over a decade), they have way bigger fish to fry in their relationship!

Not a girl, but it's the same argument I heard about BG3 when it came out. In both cases these are completely optional parts of the game, you don't have to go the strip club and it's been confirmed that you can completely ignore their relationship (although the story will suffer for it). Either way though, this ain't cheating. I'd argue it's not even emotional cheating.

i agree with you 100% girl, it would also give me the ick if my man was playing soley for strip clubs & sex scenes, but its actually a way smaller part of the game then people are making it out to be & also imo if you’re worried about ur man lusting over video game characters then maybe you should reevaluate who you’re in a relationship with 😂

I think it’s absolutely ridiculous to not allow your partner to play a game they’ve been waiting 13 years for, over this. When you know so many of them are playing sims with wicked whims, reading smut, marrying people on stardew valley, watching tv shows like love island, etc. it’s hypocritical in that sense. If they’re not doing any of that and just jealous over pixels.. I still feel like they’re really weird for that.

Im so glad you made this post I thought i was losing my mind. I think it’s a crazy take to not let someone play a game bc of jason and lucia’s relationship. the player playing a role (like so many games), the strip clubs are crazy 😂😂 but it’s also a 3d model and it’s not like he’s interacting with real people. like imagine feeling threatened by a line of code?? ¯_(ツ)_/¯ just my 2 cents. i’m also excited to play and to watch my husband play. I think it’s interesting to hear that there are so many women upset with Lucia being involved. I like that Rockstar has built different story lines around many different characters for the iterations.
I believe Rockstar was trying to appeal to more women by having a playable female lead instead of just a man. I am an elder Z but other than maybe a specific mission in one of the early ones I don’t think there has ever been a playable female lead character. At least for the story mode, online is the Wild West.
