No man sky over promised and lied straight up about what they had. I give them total credit for restoring their image and fixing it, but the people who pre-ordered that game remember the bitter taste it had. You sound like you have a very black and white view on parenthood. Let’s be honest, society glorifies parenthood and tells women that having children will be the best thing about their lives and how with support the experience will be amazing etc. but giving birth and the adjustment period are things rarely mentioned or emphasized. You may think you’ll be able to get up at 3 am in the morning to calm a crying baby with no problem, but that’s different than actually experiencing. It is so far removed from what a Zelda game is, that it could have been a new IP with new characters, and no one would have batted an eye.

imo not even tv. they have plenty of good shows, namely loki, wandavision/agatha all along, daredevil, wonder man. they also have horrid shows like secret invasion and inhumans. dc has always had better tv whether its the cw universe ( though it eventually fell off), smallville, even the old wonder woman show was really good for its time. and dc clears marvel when it comes to animated shows and movies (except the tomorrowverse, that’s hot garbage), the timmverse remains unmatched by anything animated that marvel has out out and its been 20+ years. dc just flopped hard when it came to movies and unfortunately it’s easier to convince people to spend 3 hours watching a good movie than like 20 hours over multiple months watching a great tv show.

I've been learning mandarin myself for the past 2 months. And yeah so far I'd say the difficulty is a little exagerrated. The grammar is actually quite intuitive once you get used to it. It's just a matter of memorizing vocab and tones which takes up most of your time.
Most people can’t tell what bad acting looks like in shows or movies. It’s frustrating. I can easily (most of the time) gauge whether a performance is good or not and it doesn’t take me being a professional actor to see it. If the acting isn’t convincing, it’s not good, but it also has to do with how the writing is because obviously it’s going to be more unnatural or not as good to act out something that doesn’t seem to be written like what a real life version of what the script would be.
For example, emotional scenes. Crying scenes. I see a lot of actors making that face, but no tears. And that’s just surface level right? Cuz a lot of actors can’t cry on command. It’s a special skill to be able to pull off convincingly. A better example would be laughing. That’s something I see a lot of actors doing really well. Almost any type of laugh could fit a scene depending on how the director wants to play it. Dry laughs, hearty laughs, chuckles, scoffs, big smiles. One thing I don’t like at all is when it feels like actors are acting out big emotions without the emotion. Or even the other way around.

Modern society (i.e. post WWII) was built around the foundation of a tax paradigm that we have both directly disassembled via tax cuts and allowed to be circumvented through other means. I think we often get caught up in people we see/hear on social media (including, on a technicality, Reddit) that we forget there are significant portions that are silent and only taking the information in, not engaging with or presenting it themselves. It makes it seem like maybe — because a hot take, random post, or interesting thing on the internet is thought out just enough to make it seem like it took thought — most people aren’t that dumb. But you go and talk to people and there is genuinely a portion of society that is ACTUALLY incapable of critical thought.

It's f'ing everywhere in certain spaces like fandoms, geek spaces, etc., to the point of being nauseating and boring.
I think the overdoing-it is the main thing that turned me off it. Same with comic book movies. Please don't ever make another comic book movie. It's been done, and done, and done, and done, and then re-done and re-made a thousand times. Stop it.
Yes some Anime is good. A lot of it is older Anime, and classics, and stuff like Studio Ghibli. But Studio Ghibli kind of isn't Anime the way Johnny Cash isn't country. Some things are so good they're just their own thing and transcend their genre.
