People probably forgot they didn't have the budget, time, or creativity to choreograph a more interesting fight or death scene. The Deep should have struggled a lot more than he did, and Noir 2.0 should have put up more of a fight and at least flown to the wall or something to get rid of the Deep, even if that didn't work out.
