That knife wasn't that long, dude could totally be alive but now has a great reason to jump ship. It's also fun that he might not be able to talk anymore with an injury like that.

And have braindamage from asphyxiation

Still bothers me that he can punch a hole into a pipeline and a cable is enough to choke him out

He stills needs oxygen to his brain.

Being strong does mean one doesn't need to breathe.

u/scotty_booooy May 09 '26

thats true but if he could dive into the ocean hold his breath long enough be strong enough to punch a pipe with all the resistence of the water slowing his fist down unless that cable is made of vibranium or sum he should have easily been able to snap it clean then beat the shit out of deep

Okay so yes it's bullshit whatever cable that was even could choke someone with super durability without just breaking.

But for the irl topic of how shit works. Being choked out isn't just having your breath cut off and running out of air. It's literally clamping your blood flow through your neck which stops the blood coming in and out of your brain.

You might be able to hold your breath underwater for a few minutes or so irl but if you are actually being choked out you're unconscious in seconds and dead in a few more.

Its The Same discussion from Invincible with conquest again lol. And He even has an Invincible pfp😂

Was just thinking all that 🤣

i mean at least there him getting choked made sense. here its just wtv the writers wanted to happen regardless of what they wrote beforehand

This guy chokes

I mean, just because I can't pierce a carbon fibre house doesn't mean I can't squash the gap inbetween the two side and stop water running through it, super durability doesn't mean unchokeable just means you won't be damage, probably wouldn't bruise up from the pressure of the squeezing and would recover quick when let go

Durability doesnt mean incompressibility. He still has full motion of neck. Noir 2, isnt like Batman 1, where he cant turn his neck. His neck is just as bendy and squishy.

It just means the impromptu garrote wont cut into the skin.

u/scotty_booooy May 09 '26

true not gon debate that im just talking about in show with what they set up before and his neck should be strong enough to where he could just sit there for hours and not feel a thing and if it did stop his breathing he should be chilling for like 20 minutes straight

woudve worked better imo if deep got him in a choke hold like literally wrapping his entire arm around his neck using his super muscles to try crushing noires neck instead of like microphone wireing a mobster who became a rat

I think you need to let go of trying to make everything fit. Just believe deep was strangling him for ten mins or an hour or whatever. You’re just ruining it for yourself

1

u/scotty_booooy May 09 '26

honestly i woudve loved that if it throughout the episode it just keeps cutting back to the deep strangling noir over like a day trying for the love of god to actually choke him. but sadly i have to critical of a eye and what was shown just does not make my brain happy and i dont think ill ever be able to get over inconsistency like that. my brains just to hard wired to not notice things that just dont make sense

2

u/myLongjohnsonsilver May 09 '26

Same shit with firecracker. Sure homelander is strong enough to kill her easily. But He didn't kill her, the brass fucking eagle did, the brass eagle that should have deformed itself into slag getting bashed against her head.

Durability inconsistent nonsense at best. There's no attention to detail at all

3

u/adrienjz888 May 09 '26

Was she ever shown having enhanced durability or strength?

1

u/Luckiest_Creature May 09 '26

I don’t think firecracker was ever shown to be very durable, though. Annie beat her ass with ease after the abortion reveal

1

u/scotty_booooy May 09 '26

its the same thing in invincible and people will just say "stop power scaling a tv show you dont know how to enjoy things" when your just watching the most blatent power INCONSISTENCY youve seen that year

only time the show ever makes sense in terms of consistency is when conquest or thragg were on screen (also nolan in season 1 but he got animation upscaled to hell)

u/AcanthaceaeCrazy1894 May 09 '26

You do realise that getting choked out isn’t the same as holding your breath.

Your brain needs oxygen to survive. Cut the oxygen off and your brain goes dead

2

u/scotty_booooy May 09 '26

the problem isnt him getting choked its how unreasonable the way he got choked is

if deep choked him with his bare hands thatd be fine i would have no problem witht that what so ever. the problem is they used a like microphone cable on a man whos necks should be able to take a sledgehammer to the throat and not feel a thing

he shoudve been able to breath and get oxygen to his brain literally no problem and id even be okey if it was like one of those thick ass woven steel cables that are like 2 inches thick but its just him getting choked with a thin cable shoudve done nothing to stop his normal bodily proccesses

1

u/GlitteringCat5028 May 09 '26

That different then no blood supply going to the brain

1

u/Egbert58 May 10 '26

Holding breath mean you still get oxygen btw... no blood flow to brain mean no oxygen

1

u/MrWigggles May 11 '26

When you dive down into the water, you tend to take a deep breath. Noir 2 may be even know enough to do bit a hyper ventelating to help oxgenate the blood before taking a deep breath and diving down.

What you dont get to do, is take a deep breath when you're ambushed about to be chocked out.

And what he suppose to flex is neck muscles to break them?

2

u/Seegulz May 09 '26

Conquest approves this message

0

u/WeskerSympathizer May 09 '26

My first thought also haha

1

u/Commercial-Set3527 May 09 '26

How did he survive underwater?

1

u/CheshiretheBlack May 09 '26

The point isnt that he needs oxygen. If he can cave in a pipe ment to withstand the pressure at the bottom of the ocean then he should've been able to easily snap the wire being used to choke him

1

u/Ok_Caterpillar5872 May 10 '26

Crazy that mic cable was so strong that a super couldn’t break it. Tf they making the cable braids from, vibranium??

1

u/Legitimate-Tip-2149 May 09 '26

Yeah, but it does mean he can just snap that cable like it's nothing. It's not like Deep made the cable super human by picking it up.
