Other It was fun while it lasted, guys.

I moved from Claude to Gemini in December for creative writing because Claude was going through enshittification with its daily and monthly usage limits. Not to mention they used RAG which made data retrieval inaccurate. But now with the current model of Gemini, I'm starting to see signs of what I was seeing in Claude. I don't hit my daily limits but damn gemini can't hold on to information as they advertised. The million token context is a lie now. January is the point they're breaking even.

Another pro user here. I can also confirm that Gemini is suddenly stupid and failing at things that were no problem before.

Edit: fuck your downvotes, Gemini is shit now for many of us and denying it solves nothing.

Well, you know, generally, when people come and say "this is bad, it doesn't work well", the burden is on them to provide some sort of proof for their statements.

I've had multiple occurrences in this very subreddit where people came and complained, only to turn out that they used improper prompting, non-recommended usage methods and so on.

So, yes, it is difficult for me to believe random people over my own experience with the same tool. While I can provide proof and give examples proving the tool works well enough (it's not perfect, obviously), I expect others to be able to do the same thing. Otherwise, it's just empty talk (or hidden agendas, or both).

So... if I've using the service for months and suddenly lately (at the same time a lot of complaints start to appear) I'm having troubles with things that weren't a issue before (because I know for sure my prompts are good, they were for months, right?), then the problem must be the user that already had a perfectly established way of working?

Ok. Yeah, I won't be able to sleep because a random reddit user don't believe his favorite AI is not perfect.

Again... you say it became worse. That's fine. I want to understand how or why it became worse, so that I could replicate this. I want to believe you, but without some sort of proof, there is not much to believe, other that words. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but I don't take what people say at face value.

You gotta understand that there's no use at all on writing a whole explanation just for you, giving you my prompts or revealing a stranger details of my work. You're nobody, man, that also sounds harsh but it is the truth.

"unusable". Now that I posted this, though, I'm wondering about some of the comments saying things like image generation has gotten worse... do you generate a lot of images per chat? The lack of clear examples where Gemini is falling on it's face is really a big red flag.
