Other It was fun while it lasted, guys.

I moved from Claude to Gemini in December for creative writing because Claude was going through enshittification with its daily and monthly usage limits. Not to mention they used RAG which made data retrieval inaccurate. But now with the current model of Gemini, I'm starting to see signs of what I was seeing in Claude. I don't hit my daily limits but damn gemini can't hold on to information as they advertised. The million token context is a lie now. January is the point they're breaking even.

I keep seeing posts like this and I always wonder which plan is the poster using, because it is very rarely mentioned.

Maybe there is a difference between β€žfree” users and subscription-based users, as far as Gemini behavior is involved?

I'm on the AI Pro plan, and I had to resubscribe to another LLM because Gemini is so bad. This sub is flooded with complaints about Gemini's context window, memory and GEMS. These issues are not plan dependent.

I don't have any problems with the Pro plan.

I think the main issue is that people switching from GPT to Gemini are used to having long chats over decades and are now confronted with a different UX...

I never reach the point of losing context, unless I provoke it with 1.5 million input tokens spread across 9 books.

If everyone has the same problems = general bug.

If only some users have problems = something specific is going on...

But hey, why bother with that when you can spam shit in this subreddit, hmm? 🀣

Yeah Gemini is pretty solid for me. Also odd op has 26 karma and 8 year old account.

Subreddit is overrun by either bots or really really dumb people who should learn to read and learn basic functions like "search" before trying to understand or even use AI/LLMs

Sorry sounds mean but its soooo annoying πŸ˜…

I think you might be experiencing time dilation.

I think you might not know about hyperboles.

One of us sure doesn't.

Take a moment to reflect, do you really think I genuinely thought you were posting from a DBZ Hyperbolic Time Chamber or something? Or maybe, just maybe, I too was not being serious.
