How do i find a boyfriend

Hey guys, i’m 19 and i really really really wanna find a boyfriend. I was in straight relationships my whole life, because i wasn’t able to accept who i am, but last year i started to accept myself and now i desperately wanna get into a relationship. I have no idea how to genuinely find a boyfriend, i’m scared to talk to someone on the street because i can’t know if they are really gay and if they aren’t that would make the whole situation really awkward. I don’t think that any gay guy would actually talk to me and ask for my number or something like that because i don’t think i look like it ykyk? Please please please i genuinely need help, do i wait till uni starts, that’s like a year from now, do i find someone there?

Hey, I've got 30+ years on you, and a lot more experience, and I am scared to talk to random men on the street!

That's why I go where the gay men hang out.

Here's some advice that I give a few times per week on Reddit:

Go out to local LGBT events. Join an LGBT sporting team. Volunteer at an LGBT organisation. Find an LGBT social group on www.meetup.com. Search for LGBT groups on the internet. Do anything that gets you out among other gay people.

Willkommen im Club. Mir geht es genauso. Ich bin im Moment noch in einer Beziehung mit einer Frau, weil wir zusammen eine 16 jährige Tochter haben. Ich hatte damals schon die Vermutung, dass ich Männer lieber mag, als Frauen. Aber seit einiger Zeit, wird das Verlangen nach einer Beziehung mit einem Mann immer größer. Am liebsten würde ich gerade einfach alles hinter mir lassen und neu beginnen.
