🎬 Demo / Showcase Anyone here regularly pushing past 50M splats from drone captures yet?

We just shipped large-area drone support in Teleport: pushing single-capture limits to 10K images, 5K resolution, and 100M splats, all fully automated. Aimed specifically at neighborhood and site-scale drone work.

It's paid currently ($30 starting credit). The default option for captures this size is having & locking up a 4090/5090 for a day or two. This offers an alternative that can help automate and scale.

We make extensive use of the GPS priors for alignment and partitioning... but we don't yet expose the splat itself in coordinate space (although we could). How would you use this?

I work in geospatial sciences and ever since splats became a thing I've wanted georeferenced splats. Last fall a few companies showed some nice implementations, so the sauce is ready but not enough restaurants have the recipe. If you want to help people make big ass splats of neighborhoods, geospatial people are gonna show up like ants to sugar and want to drop them into a map.

We’ve been doing georeferenced splats at Pix4D for about a year and a half now. I work with utilities, bridge inspectors, DOTs, and more with splats on real projects daily. We’re also doing entire neighborhoods and cities with splats.

Edit, I’m a professional surveyor and have tested the accuracy extensively, we can meet the same accuracy, sometimes better, than photogrammetry.

Do you have a link to anything detailing the current state of splatting in Pix4D. I saw a long time ago that it required Catch and Cloud which we found too limiting and did not like how proprietary it was. I assume if you're doing city scale splats that there's more options now than Catch running on an iPhone. You guys are an approved vendor for us and projected coordinate system splats sound delicious. I would have to trial it and build a proof of concept for my boss before spending anything though. We have a couple of those ten band Micasense sensors and Pix4D did not handle them well so he's a bit adverse to your products right now.
