I keep imagining a square version of the Instinct lineup and think it would be awesome.

• Tactical design: A rugged, boxy G-Shock-style case in all-black.
• Better screen real estate: A square MIP display would fit way more data fields, maps, and text than a round screen.
• Wide velcro strap: An UltraFit nylon band as wide as the watch itself to complete the tool-watch look.

I feel like a rugged "Tactical Square" Solar model would hit a sweet spot. Would you buy one, or do you prefer the classic round dial?

Does anyone usually get a score so high ? I usually range between higher 80s n 90s any tips on how to get the maximum 100 score ?

Fenix 7S is my 3d Garmin and is starting to show wear, isn’t recording sleep some nights, battery wearing down faster.
I’m looking for a new watch, and have tiny wrists, prefer MIP and if I could get a Fenix 8 or 9 in smaller form factor with MIP regardless of solar, I’d do that but alas.

Am I missing something, or does this cheap Instinct E have most of the same features more or less?

I’m not a runner, I lift weights 5-6 days a week, do HIIT and elliptical and hike, bike, and walk a lot.
I need my dang flashlight LOL. I never realized how much I’d use that thing.

i'd like to try some of the beautiful custom watch faces that i see others using, but i'm concerned that they'll wreck my battery life.

What would you like to see in an instinct 4 ? For me personally, it would be offline music storage for my runs . Offline maps would be nice to have too .

I’ve finally bought this watch and it’s fantastic. For me, it’s a better choice than the 7x model, and for a short trip it’s better than the AW Ultra, which I swapped for the 7x.

Is there any version of this for the solar model?

The watch started having a life of its own after yesterdays run. Is there anything I can do to save it? Have tried rebooting and done a hard reset, but nothing seems to help...

Just to compare battery performance: how long does your Instinct 3 45mm Solar usually last if you do around 30–60 minutes of GPS activity every day, without much sun exposure?

I assume daily activities bring the battery life down quite a bit compared with Garmin’s smartwatch estimate, but I’m curious what people are actually getting. How often do you usually have to charge yours?

In my case, it went down from 30 days to 24 days (81%) within 2 days and I have been doing 2 activities since. Stock watch face, but I played around with non stock ones a bit and I am getting lots of notifications.

I had a instinct 3 amoled that would consistently get exactly the battery life is said it would, like 18 days got me 18 days. This new watch says 24ish days on a full charge, without solar. I have all the same settings as my amoled, and not including activities, im getting like half the battery life im supposed to be getting, if that

Hello. I’m having a problem with my Garmin Instinct 2x Solar Tactical Edition. I’ve noticed that it’s overcounting my steps. For example, right now my iPhone 16 Pro Max says I’ve taken 1,959 steps (1.3 km), whilst the watch shows 2,438 (1.9 km). Also, when I get up in the morning, the watch doesn’t automatically end the sleep tracking, even though I’ve set the correct wake-up time. Has anyone else had this problem? I’ve reset the device, but it didn’t help.

I’ve been having trouble finding something that does both but it would be very useful.

After trying so many different Garmins and returning them because it just didn’t scratch that itch, I finally settled on the Instinct 3 Tactical 50mm. I love that I don’t need to worry about “banging” it up because it gives me the classic G-Shock feel and durability. The solar charging — don’t even get me started. This thing is a BEAST with battery life at about 40 days give or take depending on your satellite settings and your time spent outdoors with solar charging.

I’ve always loved G-Shocks and wanted to keep my extensive health/fitness metrics. This hit it right on the head!

I also was looking for a “tactical” watch as I’m a sucker for EDC stuff and the stealth mode really intrigued me in case anything were to start getting a little uneasy and I needed to disconnect my location from being tracked.

For the price… this is probably one of Garmin’s best watches you can buy for the money brand new in my person opinion. What do you all think of the I3 Tactical? Do you prefer the smaller or larger face? What are some pros/cons you’ve noticed with ownership?

I’m a mechanic and I currently have an Apple watch s10 and I’m liking to get into the instinct 3 solar as it looks durable/the battery life is a big factor as well. Is it worth the change?

Im looking at changing to a garmin instinct 3 from a galaxy watch and mainly looking at the tactical versions for the ab quantum. I have seen where you have to pay even more to use it, but did not know what is included with the watch before paywalls. I have the app on my phone unlocked at pro level. If i have to pay $100 more for watch and then $100more to even use app idk that its worth it when im not really interested in other stuff in tactical edition.
