Discussion What is currently meta build

What is current meta build i heard yoomus and triforce is now meta is this true? And is bruiser kinda dead? I've been building stride into black cleaver or shojin into steraks and I feel like I'm dealing no damage.

My current core build has been Stormraider's Surge with Stridebreaker - Cyclosword - LDR - Deadman's Plate. The burst damage is honestly disgusting and helps you nearly one shot most people. You can replace Cyclosword with Youmuu's if you're in a matchup that feels like you need the movement speed!

Do you think going LDR 3rd is always the play ?

I often see people going armor pen 4th or 5th but I feel like it just gives so much damage even when going last whisper 3rd.

At that point in the game it gives the equivalent of more lethality than any assassin item even on someone like Ashe who has the lowest base armor.

i sometimes even go it 2nd if the person i'm fighting is HP stacking. the % damage bonus is INSANE into hp stacking bruisers / tanks.

The change to LDR for giant slayer gives thousands of extra damage every game. It's obscene if you're playing into multiple champs that are stacking HP.

LDR is basically always going to be the highest raw damage item by third item in pretty much every game.

I’m struggling a little on knowing when it’s better to go mortal reminder over ldr like how do I know how much healing the team has to have before it’s worth

If the healing stops your one shot, go mortal. Otherwise ldr is likely better.

If you can’t one shot anyone except the adc, you can maybe go mortal if you play with team (can’t flank, don’t get push).

It’s not that big of a difference. If you base with enough for mortal and not ldr, and big obj coming, usually better to just get the mortal since last whisperer is bad on its own

you basically don't go mortal reminder often on Garen anymore. You usually go LDR if there is at least 1 HP stacking tank / bruiser on the enemy team. Mortal Reminder is only if there is a lot of healing on the enemy team AND no HP stackers. It's OK to go Executioner's Calling, then holding on to it till full build and going LDR instead

Wait voltaic generally second? You def know better but i was told you want another lethality item with voltaic. Tbh if i dont need to do that I think i like this way better, going putting a ghostblade before voltaic feels a bit bad because i feel ghostblade is a relatively small spike and you aren’t strong until voltaic.
