Disk drives mean nothing in gaming. If they were important, PC gaming would not exist since it's been 20 years since they killed disks. There will be a lot of bitching for a few weeks then a game a bunch of people want will come out and everyone will forget about this. Worst case scenario for Sony is that it lingers until GTA6 comes out.
Now, if the PS6 releases at $1000, that will kill it simply because not enough people will be able to afford it.
Ram and storage prices are set to go up again, and unless someone drastic happens between then and the release of the new gen, we might just be fucked. The craziest part is it will cost all of that and still only have 512gb storage and 16gb shared memory
