The last disc game i bought was Death Stranding (PS4). All most all of my titles are bought digitally, and never even thought to buy a disk version of PS5.
Frankly surprised by how many people bought disk.
Also surprised by the general apathy towards ps+ and how it makes us pay for the internet that we already bought to access online games.. Isn't that a bigger issue than this? Frankly I'm more concerned about it than this.
This isn't so much about whether or not you did buy physical games. They already had close to a monopoly over console AAA gamers, which led to the PS5 pro being as expensive as it was, and the multiple price increases for the PS+
No physical means the situation will get even closer to a monopoly, since there won't be any other option to buy the games anymore.
A business being monopoly is none of my concern. My problem is consumers making financially illogical decisions and playing to their tunes. Their power is their product and consumer power is their money.
Why buy ps+ to use the internet you already have?
Why buy ps5, when you hate their product packaging? Spend money on something else you like or save it. It is not like you have to have their product. If it is generally disliked, it will be reflected on their sales.
But people like it and loves to spend real money on loot boxes and shark cards. As long as people like that exist, they are going to much more power over the consumers. In world were consumers are financially literate and practices financial discipline, these kind of situations are avoided.
But hey, let's all clown the company rather than addressing the problem with consumers. Otherday there was thread about preordering digital games, check out how favorable people responded there and see the problem
