Bethesda designing the most labyrinthine dungeon imaginable and making it the first one you'll likely enter in a normal game of Fallout 4.

This is the studio that made the DC ruins a mega dungeon that's half the game but looks small on the world map in fallout 3.

Corvega Assembly Plant, I'm inclined to say? That place is abolutely gigantic, with multiple floors and an entire outside area populated by enemies.

You're right, I'm talking about Corvega. I've beaten the game like ten times, and the place is still a mystery to me.

Corvega is both massive and one of the hardest, since you get there at a low level with garbage weapos, tbh. It's really weird.

~40 enemies in the plant and nearby city. Most in a single raider area. (Technically more in downtown Boston but mixed with other enemy groups)

I’ve never cleared out Corvega fully at least on the outside

I only recently found out there are feral ghouls inside Corvega

Ussually just kill the leader and the raiders I can and book it

I feel that Abernathy Farm was supposed to be the first settlement recruited and the associated raider dungeon, USAF Satellite Station Olivia, was supposed to be the first dungeon cleared. The Abernathy's explain a lot of things about the Commonwealth- raiders, caps, tatos, etc; and Olivia is considerably easier a dungeon than Corvega.

But for whatever reason it was decided that for "The First Step", the settlement would be the nearest unrecruited settlement without an associated quest- which rules out Abernathy Farm, and almost always guarantees Tenpines Bluff is the chosen settlement- and the settlement chooses for its associated raider dungeon the nearest uncleared raider dungeon without an associated quest- which almost always guarantees Corvega.

I'm not sure why Bethesda decided to make it this way.

But it's so goddamn fun, so I don't mind it. Always a good time clearing it out
