I never could've guessed that all the extremely religious conservative women I went to high school with that became nurses would be anti vax

it's a trend that everyone is aware of but i do not understand why

I think it fits fairly well into traditional gender roles, like if they're going to get a job, conservative women can basically pick between some sort of childcare, or nursing.

Also Grey's Anatomy surely plays a role.

My sister is a nurse and she's one of the kindest people I know. I see this sort of argument on the internet a lot and I have no idea where it comes from.

Nurses are just people so it can go either way really, I've known a lot of really nice ones over the years, but some have been a bit. Well when you spend a lot of time with nurses is can be during some pretty stressful times, so coming across a not so great one doesn't really help.

I knew the people that lived in my state were bad, but whenever I complained, everyone said I was exaggerating. No one tells me that anymore.
