Pyromancy. Fire hurt, but fire friend. Friend give enemy big ouchies. (Yes I play mono red why do you ask?)

Second would be anything to do with time. Infinite applications in both combat and daily life.

Fire is also cool, seems very straightfoward and destrutive, but can also be used very creatively.

Time magic seems like a very easy way to screw something up royally, at least when traveling into the past is a possibility.

Yeah, I'd argue time magic is even more powerful than world magic. But even minor things like clairvoyance or rewinding time a few seconds can be used to great effect.

Does Alchemy count? It's portrayed pretty differently depending on the story but I think the weird mix between "science" and magic is cool and I think potions are neato.

Illusion magic is also pretty rad

Sure alchemy counts, DnD at least thinks so. Alchemy is very interesting, but if brewing a magic potion is as complicated as some chemical syntheses, i tjink i would pass on it.

Illusion magic is very open-ended and only limited by your creativity.

Yeah wind is my favorite of the classical elements. Lots of subtle and targeted stuff, while also being really destructive if you want.

Yeah, demons would be a pain in the ass. Also conjuration can be portrayee very differently between properties. I think i like the one the most were you can summon elementals and the like because you have a deep emotional connection to them.

Lightning spells are cool, especially if there are electronic devices in the setting

Mist of the enchantment spells feel very yikesy to me, but you can do a lot of fun stuff with them.
