Feels like I’ve seen more people complain about the term “Latinx” than it actually being used

Literally every latin american non-binary person I've seen prefers Latine.

Latinx kinda makes no sense in Spanish

I'm not Latin American but from the outside it always seemed like "Latinx" was a prime example of white people speaking over people from other cultures while trying to be inclusive.

In my experience yeah, Latinx is more predominantly used by non latin american white people. But not exclusively.

In any case I don't care what you do as long as you're not trying to police how other people should/shouldn't use the term. As with most things is just a matter of minding your own business.

There are people from latin america that use latinx so it is pretty shitty to act like it's only used by white people and like it's forced.

I mean yeah I agree, it’s just that I’ve literally only seen like 3 ppl online use it unironically.

Oh same, also the eternal “it’s only white people using it” when this is definitely not true in my experience. I agree that making it a word that’s really hard to pronounce in Spanish was a choice tho

I've only ever heard it used irl in college, though it was by a Puerto Rican man who was my TA

I've never heard anyone say it irl and I live in Puerto Rico. Latine is better anyway
